أكد نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس، اليوم (الخميس)، الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب يعارض ضم الضفة الغربية لإسرائيل، واصفاً خطوة الكنيست بشأن ضم الضفة بـ«الحمقاء» وإهانة له.
وقال فانس إن إسرائيل لن تضم الضفة ولم نكن سعداء بقرار الكنيست، مؤكداً أن تصويت الكنيست رمزي.
وأشار إلى أن هناك بعض الخلافات في تنفيذ اتفاق غزة لكن المناقشات مستمرة، مبيناً أن اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في القطاع صامد رغم بعض العقبات والاستثناءاتا.
اتصالات مستمرة مع الوسطاء
وأوضح أن إسرائيل وحماس تحترمان وقف إطلاق النار رغم بعض الاستثناءات، لافتاً إلى أن بلاده ستولصل العمل مع إسرائيل من أجل تثبيت خطة غزة.
وأشار إلى أن الاتصالات مستمرة مع الشركاء حول مستقبل غزة، ومرحلة ما بعد الحرب، مجدداً التأكيد على أن بلاده لن ننشر قوات أمريكية في القطاع الفلسطيني المحاصر.
وحول إعادة إعمار غزة، قال نائب الرئيس الأمريكي: «سنبدأ إعادة إعمار المناطق التي لا وجود لحماس فيها»، معرباً عن أمله في إعادة بناء رفح جنوب القطاع خلال عامين أو 3.
تقسيم غزة إلى منطقتين
وتبحث الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل خطة لتقسيم قطاع غزة إلى منطقتين منفصلتين، تُدار إحداهما من قبل إسرائيل، والأخرى من حركة «حماس»، بحيث يُسمح بإعادة الإعمار فقط في الجزء الخاضع للسيطرة الإسرائيلية، وذلك كحل مؤقت إلى حين نزع سلاح الحركة الفلسطينية، وفق خطة ترمب، وإزاحتها عن السلطة، وفقاً لما نقلته صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» عن مسؤولين أمريكيين وإسرائيليين.
وكان فانس قد قال (الثلاثاء) إن هناك منطقتين في غزة، إحداهما آمنة نسبياً، والأخرى بالغة الخطورة، موضحاً أن الهدف هو توسيع الرقعة الجغرافية للمنطقة الآمنة.
وأعربت دول عربية عن رفضها القاطع لفكرة تقسيم غزة، معتبرةً أنها قد تفضي إلى إقامة منطقة دائمة تحت السيطرة الإسرائيلية داخل القطاع وأنها غير مستعدة لإرسال قوات للمشاركة في حفظ الأمن في غزة وفق هذه الشروط.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance confirmed today (Thursday) that U.S. President Donald Trump opposes the annexation of the West Bank by Israel, describing the Knesset's move regarding the annexation of the West Bank as "foolish" and an insult to him.
Vance stated that Israel will not annex the West Bank and that we were not happy with the Knesset's decision, emphasizing that the Knesset's vote is symbolic.
He noted that there are some disagreements in implementing the Gaza agreement, but discussions are ongoing, indicating that the ceasefire agreement in the sector is holding despite some obstacles and exceptions.
Ongoing Communications with Mediators
He clarified that Israel and Hamas respect the ceasefire despite some exceptions, pointing out that his country will continue to work with Israel to solidify the Gaza plan.
He mentioned that communications are ongoing with partners regarding the future of Gaza and the post-war phase, reiterating that his country will not deploy American forces in the besieged Palestinian sector.
Regarding the reconstruction of Gaza, the U.S. Vice President said: "We will begin reconstructing the areas where Hamas is not present," expressing hope to rebuild Rafah in the southern sector within two or three years.
Dividing Gaza into Two Areas
The United States and Israel are discussing a plan to divide the Gaza Strip into two separate areas, one managed by Israel and the other by Hamas, allowing reconstruction only in the part under Israeli control, as a temporary solution until the disarmament of the Palestinian movement, according to Trump's plan, and its removal from power, according to what the "Wall Street Journal" reported from American and Israeli officials.
Vance had stated (on Tuesday) that there are two areas in Gaza, one relatively safe and the other extremely dangerous, explaining that the goal is to expand the geographical area of the safe zone.
Arab countries have expressed their firm rejection of the idea of dividing Gaza, considering that it could lead to the establishment of a permanent area under Israeli control within the sector and that they are not prepared to send forces to participate in maintaining security in Gaza under these conditions.
