نفى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تقريراً نقلته صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» عن مسؤولين أمريكيين، بأن واشنطن رفعت قيوداً رئيسية على استخدام أوكرانيا لبعض الصواريخ بعيدة المدى التي يقدمها لها حلفاء غربيون، ما يمكّن كييف من تصعيد هجماتها داخل روسيا وزيادة الضغط على موسكو.
وكتب ترمب، عبر منصة «تروث سوشال»: تقرير «وول ستريت جورنال» عن موافقة واشنطن لاستخدام أوكرانيا صواريخ بعيدة المدى ضد روسيا «أخبار زائفة»، مؤكداً أن الولايات المتحدة لا علاقة لها بهذه الصواريخ، بغض النظر عن مصدرها أو كيفية استخدامها من قبل أوكرانيا.
تأكيدات المسؤولين الأمريكيين
وكانت الصحيفة قد نقلت عن مسؤولين أمريكيين قولهم إن إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب رفعت قيداً رئيسياً كان يحد من استخدام أوكرانيا لبعض الصواريخ بعيدة المدى التي يزودها بها الحلفاء الغربيون، ما يمكّن كييف من تكثيف هجماتها داخل الأراضي الروسية وزيادة الضغط العسكري على «الكرملين».
وقالت الصحيفة إن الخطوة الأمريكية غير المعلنة تهدف لتمكين أوكرانيا من استخدام الصواريخ، في تحول تزامن مع سعي ترمب للضغط على «الكرملين» لإجراء محادثات لإنهاء الحرب، بما في ذلك التلويح بالموافقة على تزويد كييف بصواريخ «توماهوك» الأمريكية الصنع التي يتجاوز مداها 1600 كيلومتر.
عقوبات أمريكية على روسيا
بدوره، قال وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت إن الولايات المتحدة ستعلن عقوبات على روسيا خلال الساعات القادمة، مؤكداً للصحفيين في البيت الأبيض أن واشنطن ستشدد العقوبات على روسيا.
من جهتها، قالت هيئة الأركان العامة الأوكرانية إن قواتها استخدمت، الثلاثاء، صاروخ كروز «ستورم شادو» البريطاني لضرب مصنع روسي في مدينة بريانسك ينتج مواد متفجرة ووقوداً للصواريخ، مشيرة إلى أنها وجهت «ضربة ناجحة اخترقت الدفاعات الجوية الروسية».

Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform: The Wall Street Journal's report about Washington's approval for Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia is "fake news," asserting that the United States has no connection to these missiles, regardless of their source or how they are used by Ukraine.
Confirmations from American Officials
The newspaper reported that American officials said the Trump administration lifted a key restriction that limited Ukraine's use of certain long-range missiles supplied by Western allies, allowing Kyiv to intensify its attacks within Russian territory and increase military pressure on the Kremlin.
The newspaper stated that the unannounced American move aims to enable Ukraine to use the missiles, coinciding with Trump's efforts to pressure the Kremlin to engage in talks to end the war, including hinting at the approval to supply Kyiv with American-made Tomahawk missiles that have a range exceeding 1,600 kilometers.
U.S. Sanctions on Russia
For his part, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt stated that the United States will announce sanctions on Russia in the coming hours, confirming to reporters at the White House that Washington will tighten sanctions on Russia.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff said that its forces used a British Storm Shadow cruise missile on Tuesday to strike a Russian factory in Bryansk that produces explosives and rocket fuel, noting that they delivered "a successful strike that penetrated Russian air defenses."
