تسلمت إسرائيل في وقت متأخر من مساء أمس (الثلاثاء) من اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر جثمانَي رهينتين من الذين كانوا محتجزين في قطاع غزة، في إطار اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار.
وأصدر مكتب رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو أمس بياناً قال فيه: «تسلمت إسرائيل عبر الصليب الأحمر، نعشَي اثنين من الرهائن الذين قتلوا»، مضيفاً: تسلم الجثمانين الجيش والشاباك (جهاز الأمن الداخلي) داخل قطاع غزة.
وأشار البيان إلى أنه سيتم نقل جثتَي الرهينتين إلى إسرائيل لإجراء فحوص التعرف على هويتيهما.
وأفرجت حركة حماس في 13 أكتوبر عن آخر 20 رهينة على قيد الحياة كانت تحتجزهم منذ هجوم 2023، وجثامين عدد من الأسرى على فترات، فيما تؤكد الإحصاءات أن هناك جثامين لرهائن لا تزال في غزة وتؤكد «حماس» صعوبات في إخراجهم من القطاع المدمر بعد عامين من الحرب.
بدوره، أعلن «الصليب الأحمر»، أن إسرائيل سلّمت جثامين 15 فلسطينياً إلى قطاع غزة، ليرتفع بذلك حتى الآن عدد الجثامين الذين جرى تسليمهم إلى 165 فلسطينياً.
Israel received the bodies of two hostages who had been held in the Gaza Strip late last night (Tuesday) from the International Committee of the Red Cross, as part of a ceasefire agreement.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement yesterday saying: "Israel received through the Red Cross the bodies of two hostages who were killed," adding that the bodies were handed over to the army and the Shin Bet (internal security service) inside the Gaza Strip.
The statement indicated that the bodies of the hostages would be transferred to Israel for identification examinations.
On October 13, Hamas released the last 20 living hostages it had been holding since the 2023 attack, along with the bodies of several prisoners at intervals, while statistics confirm that there are still bodies of hostages in Gaza, and Hamas asserts difficulties in extracting them from the devastated territory after two years of war.
For its part, the Red Cross announced that Israel had handed over the bodies of 15 Palestinians to the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of bodies delivered so far to 165 Palestinians.
