دعا برنامج الأغذية العالمي مجدداً إلى فتح كل المعابر المؤدية إلى غزة، مؤكداً أن استمرار وقف إطلاق النار «حيوي» لإيصال المساعدات و«إنقاذ الأرواح» داخل القطاع المحاصر.
وقالت المتحدثة باسم البرنامج عبير عطيفة لصحفيين في جنيف، اليوم (الثلاثاء): «استمرار وقف إطلاق النار حيوي، هذه الوسيلة الوحيدة لإنقاذ الأرواح ومكافحة المجاعة في شمال غزة».
وأضافت أن الإمدادات الداخلة إلى غزة تتزايد لكنها لا تزال أقل بكثير من الهدف اليومي البالغ 2,000 طن؛ لأن معبرين فقط إلى القطاع مفتوحان.
وذكرت أن هناك معبرين فقط يعملان هما كرم أبو سالم وكيسوفيم، ولكن لا يوجد أي معبر مفتوح إلى الشمال الذي يشهد مجاعة.
وتسود حالة من الترقب في قطاع غزة بشأن تنفيذ بنود وقف إطلاق النار الذي دخل حيز التنفيذ قبل نحو أسبوعين، بعد عامين من العمليات العسكرية واسعة النطاق التي خلّفت دماراً واسعاً وأدت إلى أزمة إنسانية غير مسبوقة في القطاع.
وتشترط التفاهمات، بحسب مصادر فلسطينية ودولية، زيادة كميات المساعدات الإنسانية وتحسين الإمدادات الحيوية كجزء من الترتيبات المرتبطة بوقف إطلاق النار بين إسرائيل وحركة حماس. ولكن منظمات الإغاثة الدولية تحذّر من أن القيود الإسرائيلية على المعابر والمعوقات اللوجستية ما زالت تعرقل دخول الإمدادات الحيوية للمدنيين، رغم تحسن نسبي في وتيرة العمل خلال الأيام الأخيرة.
وحسب تقديرات الأمم المتحدة، فإن غالبية سكان قطاع غزة يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي، وأن أكثر من نصف المرافق الصحية ما زالت خارج الخدمة بسبب نقص الوقود والأضرار التي لحقت بالبنية التحتية خلال الحرب.
يذكر أن ملف المساعدات يعتبر من أبرز التحديات التي تواجه جهود تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار وإعادة الإعمار، في ظل التحذيرات من انهيار الخدمات الأساسية إذا لم يتم استئناف تدفق الوقود والإمدادات بشكل منتظم خلال الأيام القادمة.
The World Food Programme has once again called for the opening of all crossings leading to Gaza, emphasizing that the continuation of the ceasefire is "vital" for delivering aid and "saving lives" within the besieged territory.
The programme's spokesperson, Abir Atif, told reporters in Geneva today (Tuesday): "The continuation of the ceasefire is vital; it is the only means to save lives and combat famine in northern Gaza."
She added that the supplies entering Gaza are increasing, but they are still far below the daily target of 2,000 tons, as only two crossings to the territory are open.
She mentioned that only two crossings are operational: Kerem Shalom and Kissufim, but there is no open crossing to the north, which is experiencing famine.
A state of anticipation prevails in the Gaza Strip regarding the implementation of the ceasefire terms that came into effect about two weeks ago, following two years of large-scale military operations that left widespread destruction and led to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the territory.
According to Palestinian and international sources, the understandings stipulate an increase in humanitarian aid and improvement of vital supplies as part of the arrangements linked to the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. However, international relief organizations warn that Israeli restrictions on crossings and logistical obstacles continue to hinder the entry of vital supplies for civilians, despite a relative improvement in the pace of operations in recent days.
According to United Nations estimates, the majority of the population in the Gaza Strip suffers from food insecurity, and more than half of health facilities remain out of service due to fuel shortages and damage to infrastructure during the war.
It is worth noting that the aid issue is one of the main challenges facing efforts to stabilize the ceasefire and reconstruction, amid warnings of a collapse of essential services if the flow of fuel and supplies is not resumed regularly in the coming days.
