أعلن وزير الإعلام الباكستاني عطا الله تارار اليوم (السبت) نجاح قواته في قتل أكثر من 100 مسلح كانوا يخططون لهجمات في المناطق الحدودية مع أفغانستان، مؤكداً أن المسلحين استغلوا وقف إطلاق النار الذي استمر 48 ساعة.
وكتب تارار على حسابه في «إكس»: «خلال وقف إطلاق النار الذي استمر 48 ساعة، حاول مسلحون متمركزون في أفغانستان تابعون لحركة طالبان باكستان تنفيذ عدة هجمات داخل باكستان، وتعاملت معها قوات الأمن»، موضحاً أن القوات الباكستانية استهدفت معسكرات الليلة الماضية.
باكستان تنفي سقوط ضحايا مدنيين
وقال وزير الإعلام الباكستاني: «وفقاً لمعلومات استخباراتية مؤكدة، قُتل ما لا يقل عن 60-70 مسلحاً وقادتهم نتيجة هذه الغارات المُستهدفة»، نافياً التقارير التي تحدثت عن سقوط ضحايا مدنيين.
وكانت أفغانستان وباكستان قد توصلتا في 15 أكتوبر الجاري إلى اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار لمدة 48 ساعة. ووفقاً لبيان صادر عن وزارة الخارجية الباكستانية فإن الطرفين سيبذلان خلال هذه الفترة جهوداً حثيثة لتسوية الأزمة.
وأعلنت حركة طالبان أفغانستان اليوم أنها لن ترد على الهجمات الباكستانية الأخيرة خلال المفاوضات واحترام جهود الوساطة التي تهدف إلى الحد من التوترات الحدودية.
مفاوضات بين طالبان وإسلام أباد
وقال المتحدث باسم الحركة ذبيح الله مجاهد إن طالبان أفغانستان تحتفظ بالحق في الرد على الهجمات الباكستانية، لكنها أوقفت بشكل مؤقت العمليات العسكرية احتراماً لفريق التفاوض.
ومن المقرر أن تجتمع طالبان أفغانستان مع وفد باكستاني في الدوحة لإجراء محادثات.
وقال ذبيح الله مجاهد عبر منصة «إكس»: «توجه وفد رفيع المستوى من الإمارة بقيادة وزير الدفاع محمد يعقوب إلى الدوحة اليوم (السبت)».
وكان التلفزيون الرسمي الباكستاني أعلن في وقت سابق أن وفداً باكستانياً سيتوجه السبت إلى قطر لإجراء محادثات مع حركة طالبان الأفغانية.
The Pakistani Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar announced today (Saturday) the success of his forces in killing more than 100 militants who were planning attacks in the border areas with Afghanistan, confirming that the militants exploited the 48-hour ceasefire.
Tarar wrote on his account on "X": "During the 48-hour ceasefire, militants based in Afghanistan affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan attempted to carry out several attacks inside Pakistan, and the security forces dealt with them," explaining that the Pakistani forces targeted camps last night.
Pakistan Denies Civilian Casualties
The Pakistani Minister of Information stated: "According to confirmed intelligence information, at least 60-70 militants and their leaders were killed as a result of these targeted airstrikes," denying reports that spoke of civilian casualties.
Afghanistan and Pakistan had reached an agreement for a 48-hour ceasefire on October 15. According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, both sides will make earnest efforts to resolve the crisis during this period.
The Taliban of Afghanistan announced today that it will not respond to the recent Pakistani attacks during negotiations and will respect mediation efforts aimed at reducing border tensions.
Negotiations Between the Taliban and Islamabad
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the Taliban of Afghanistan reserves the right to respond to Pakistani attacks, but has temporarily halted military operations in respect of the negotiating team.
The Taliban of Afghanistan is scheduled to meet with a Pakistani delegation in Doha for talks.
Zabihullah Mujahid said via the "X" platform: "A high-level delegation from the Emirate, led by Defense Minister Muhammad Yaqub, headed to Doha today (Saturday)."
Earlier, the official Pakistani television announced that a Pakistani delegation would head to Qatar on Saturday to hold talks with the Afghan Taliban.
