أعلن نائب الرئيس الفلسطيني حسين الشيخ اليوم (الأحد) أن السلطة الفلسطينية مستعدة للعمل مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، ورئيس الوزراء البريطاني السابق توني بلير لدعم وقف إطلاق النار في غزة وبدء إعادة الإعمار.
والتقى الشيخ بلير لبحث اليوم التالي في غزة وسبل إنجاح جهود الرئيس ترمب التي تهدف لوقف الحرب وإقامة السلام الدائم في المنطقة.
وكتب الشيخ على «إكس»: «أكدنا استعدادنا للعمل مع الرئيس ترمب ومع بلير والشركاء المعنيين من أجل تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار وإدخال المساعدات وإطلاق سراح الرهائن والأسرى والذهاب للتعافي وإعادة الإعمار».
وتنص خطة ترمب على ضرورة انتهاء حكم حماس في غزة، وإسناد إدارة القطاع للجنة تكنوقراط فلسطينية تشرف عليها هيئة دولية برئاسة ترمب وعضوية بلير.
من جهة أخرى، قال مسؤول أمريكي لصحيفة «تايمز أوف إسرائيل» إن 4 دول ستلعب دور الضامن لتنفيذ اتفاق غزة، موضحاً أن قمة شرم الشيخ تنصب على تعزيز دعم الدول الضامنة للصفقة، وليس الأطراف.
وأشار إلى أنه سيحتاج ممثلون عن إسرائيل وحماس والسلطة الفلسطينية إلى الحضور إلى القمة.
وكان مصدر آخر قال لصحيفة «تايمز أوف إسرائيل» إن إسرائيل لم تتلق دعوة لحضور القمة التي سيحضرها ترمب، فيما قالت حماس إنها لن تشارك في قمة شرم الشيخ.
وتهدف القمة، حسب بيان الرئاسة المصرية، إلى «إنهاء الحرب في قطاع غزة، وتعزيز جهود إحلال السلام والاستقرار في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وفتح صفحة جديدة من الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي».
The Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh announced today (Sunday) that the Palestinian Authority is ready to work with U.S. President Donald Trump and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to support a ceasefire in Gaza and begin reconstruction.
Sheikh met with Blair to discuss the next steps in Gaza and ways to succeed in President Trump's efforts aimed at stopping the war and establishing lasting peace in the region.
Sheikh wrote on "X": "We confirmed our readiness to work with President Trump and with Blair and the concerned partners to establish a ceasefire, deliver aid, release hostages and prisoners, and move towards recovery and reconstruction."
Trump's plan stipulates the necessity of ending Hamas's rule in Gaza and assigning the management of the sector to a Palestinian technocratic committee supervised by an international body headed by Trump and including Blair.
On the other hand, an American official told the "Times of Israel" that four countries will play a guarantor role in implementing the Gaza agreement, explaining that the Sharm El-Sheikh summit focuses on enhancing the support of the guarantor countries for the deal, rather than the parties involved.
He noted that representatives from Israel, Hamas, and the Palestinian Authority will need to attend the summit.
Another source told the "Times of Israel" that Israel has not received an invitation to attend the summit that Trump will be attending, while Hamas stated that it will not participate in the Sharm El-Sheikh summit.
The summit aims, according to a statement from the Egyptian presidency, to "end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new chapter of regional security and stability."
