أعلن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، اليوم (الخميس)، أن السلام كان هدفاً مشتركاً مع ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان، مشدداً على ضرورة تعزيز المساهمة الدولية في مجالات الحوكمة والأمن وإعادة إعمار قطاع غزة.
وأكد ماكرون خلال افتتاح الاجتماع الوزاري حول غزة في باريس، استعداد بلاده للعب دور فاعل في قوة تثبيت الاستقرار في قطاع غزة، مشيداً بجهود الولايات المتحدة وبقية الوسطاء في التوصل إلى الاتفاق الذي أنهى الحرب.
الالتزام الكامل بتنفيذ الاتفاق
وقال الرئيس الفرنسي: إن وقف الحرب كان من مصلحة الشعب الإسرائيلي، داعياً جميع الأطراف إلى الالتزام الكامل بتنفيذ بنود الاتفاق.
وأضاف أن اجتماع باريس يهدف إلى العمل بالتوازي مع المبادرة الأمريكية لضمان استمرار مسار السلام، موضحاً أن الساعات القادمة ستكون حاسمة فيما يتعلق بإرساء السلام في غزة.
وأشار إلى أن فرنسا ستواصل دعم أي جهد يهدف إلى تحقيق الاستقرار الدائم في المنطقة، موضحاً أن مسار خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب واضح ويجب الالتزام به لضمان نجاح عملية السلام.
وحدة غزة والضفة الغربية
وأكد ماكرون أن وحدة غزة والضفة الغربية تحت حكم السلطة الفلسطينية أمر أساسي ويجب وضع جدول زمني واضح لتحقيقها، مشدداً على أهمية نشر قوة دولية لتعزيز الاستقرار في القطاع، ضمن إطار أممي واضح لحفظ السلام.
ودعا ماكرون إلى تسهيل مشاركة المؤسسات الدولية في إعادة إعمار غزة، منتقداً الاستيطان الإسرائيلي الذي وصفه بأنه يشكل تهديداً خطيراً لدولة فلسطين ويتناقض مع القانون الدولي ومع خطة ترمب للسلام.
وأشار إلى أن تسريع وتيرة الاستيطان لا علاقة له بحماس وإنما يقوّض فرص الاستقرار الإقليمي.
من جانبها، قالت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية بالاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، إن الاتحاد الأوروبي مستعد لمناقشة سبل مساهمته في خطة السلام بغزة، مضيفة قبيل المؤتمر أن هذه أفضل فرصة لدينا.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced today (Thursday) that peace was a shared goal with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, emphasizing the need to enhance international contributions in the areas of governance, security, and the reconstruction of Gaza.
Macron confirmed during the opening of the ministerial meeting on Gaza in Paris that his country is ready to play an active role in stabilizing Gaza, praising the efforts of the United States and other mediators in reaching the agreement that ended the war.
Full Commitment to Implementing the Agreement
The French president stated that ending the war was in the interest of the Israeli people, calling on all parties to fully commit to implementing the terms of the agreement.
He added that the Paris meeting aims to work in parallel with the American initiative to ensure the continuation of the peace process, clarifying that the coming hours will be crucial regarding the establishment of peace in Gaza.
He pointed out that France will continue to support any effort aimed at achieving lasting stability in the region, explaining that the path of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan is clear and must be adhered to in order to ensure the success of the peace process.
Unity of Gaza and the West Bank
Macron affirmed that the unity of Gaza and the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority is essential and that a clear timeline should be established to achieve it, stressing the importance of deploying an international force to enhance stability in the sector, within a clear UN framework for peacekeeping.
Macron called for facilitating the participation of international institutions in the reconstruction of Gaza, criticizing Israeli settlements, which he described as a serious threat to the State of Palestine and contradictory to international law and Trump's peace plan.
He noted that the acceleration of settlement activity is unrelated to Hamas but undermines the prospects for regional stability.
For her part, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated that the European Union is ready to discuss ways to contribute to the peace plan for Gaza, adding before the conference that this is our best opportunity.
