The Russian presidency warned that the supply of American "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine represents a serious escalation, given these missiles' capability to carry nuclear warheads.

The Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters today (Tuesday) that if this happens, it would be a serious escalation, although it would not change the situation on the front lines for the Kyiv regime. He added: "But it is important to understand that regardless of the details, we are talking about missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads," emphasizing that this is indeed a very dangerous round of escalation.

Peskov clarified that Moscow's position on the delivery of "Tomahawk" missiles to Kyiv was clearly expressed by President Vladimir Putin during his participation in the Valdai International Discussion Club session last week.

Putin confirmed that Kyiv's potential use of "Tomahawk" missiles would not change the battlefield situation at all, but would significantly harm relations between Russia and the United States, paving the way for a qualitatively new phase of escalation. He pointed out that the use of these missiles by Ukraine without direct involvement from American military personnel is impossible.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday (Monday) that he has made his decision regarding the supply of "Tomahawk" missiles to Ukraine, but he still has some questions he wants to ask the Ukrainian side to avoid escalation.
