كشفت وسائل إعلام غربية محادثات تجرى اليوم (الثلاثاء) بين إيران ودول الترويكا الأوروبية، مؤكدة أنها الفرصة الأخيرة.
وذكر مسؤولان إيرانيان كبيران ودبلوماسيان غربيان أن «فرص النجاح لا تزال ضئيلة»، موضحين أن وزراء خارجية إيران وبريطانيا وفرنسا وألمانيا سيجتمعون اليوم على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، لبحث طموحات إيران النووية المثيرة للجدل.
أفكار الحل
وأفاد مسؤول إيراني بأن بلاده طرحت أفكارا مختلفة وخضعت للنقاش على مسؤولي الدول الأوروبية الثلاث (الترويكا) والاتحاد الأوروبي، ومع (المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية)، رافائيل جروسي، وأن وزير الخارجية الإيراني سيلتقي اليوم بنظرائه في الدول الأوروبية الثلاث (بريطانيا، وفرنسا، وألمانيا)، ومسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، وسيواصلون المناقشات.
المواجهات أو التعاون
وأشار إلى أن الجميع يسعى فيما يبدو لحل النزاع النووي، وذلك بعد أن طالب وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، من القوى الأوروبية، الاختيار بين «التعاون أو المواجهة».
وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني قد قال أمس، إن طهران لن تستجيب للغة الضغط بشأن نشاطها النووي، قائلاً للتلفزيون الإيراني: «اختبروا إيران مراراً، وأدركوا أننا لا نستجيب للغة الضغط والتهديد، أتمنى أن نجد حلاً دبلوماسياً في الأيام القادمة، وإلا ستتخذ طهران الإجراءات المناسبة».
Western media revealed that talks are taking place today (Tuesday) between Iran and the European troika, confirming that this is the last opportunity.
Two senior Iranian officials and two Western diplomats mentioned that "the chances of success remain slim," explaining that the foreign ministers of Iran, Britain, France, and Germany will meet today on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly to discuss Iran's controversial nuclear ambitions.
Solution Ideas
An Iranian official stated that his country has proposed various ideas that have been discussed with officials from the three European countries (the troika) and the European Union, as well as with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and that the Iranian foreign minister will meet today with his counterparts from the three European countries (Britain, France, and Germany), along with the EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, to continue the discussions.
Confrontation or Cooperation
He noted that everyone seems to be seeking a resolution to the nuclear dispute, after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged the European powers to choose between "cooperation or confrontation."
The Iranian foreign minister stated yesterday that Tehran will not respond to pressure regarding its nuclear activities, telling Iranian television: "Iran has been tested repeatedly, and they should realize that we do not respond to the language of pressure and threats. I hope we find a diplomatic solution in the coming days; otherwise, Tehran will take appropriate measures."
