فيما تتجه الأنظار إلى نيويورك، اليوم (الاثنين)، وسط ترقب لاعتراف المزيد من الدول بالدولة الفلسطينية خلال فعاليات
الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، تتزايد الأصوات المطالبة بتكريس الحق الفلسطيني في إقامة دولة مستقلة ذات سيادة، من أجل الحفاظ على حل الدولتين قائماً لمواجهة الحرب الشرسة التي تشنها إسرائيل على الفلسطينيين في غزة والضفة الغربية.
وقال المتحدث باسم الكرملين ديميتري بيسكوف، إن روسيا لا تزال تعتقد أن حل الدولتين هو السبيل الوحيد لتسوية الصراع في الشرق الأوسط، مشدداً بالقول: «نظل ملتزمين بالقرارات الأساسية لمجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة، ونظل ملتزمين بالموقف الدولي بشأن إمكانية حل الصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي على أساس حل الدولتين».
موقف روسي
وأشار إلى أن هذا يظل نهجنا، والسبيل الوحيد الممكن لإيجاد حل لهذا الصراع طويل الأمد والمعقد للغاية، والذي ربما يمر الآن بأكثر مراحله حدة ومأساوية.
في الوقت ذاته، دعا المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية لين جيان، إلى التمسك بحل الدولتين، وتعزيز التوافق حوله ورفض أي عمل أحادي يقوض أساس هذا الحل، مشدداً على أن «القوة والعنف لن يحققا السلام والأمان».
وأشار إلى أن الشعبين الفلسطيني والإسرائيلي وشعوب الشرق الأوسط يريدون «السلام الدائم، ونهاية مبكرة للصراع».
ولفت إلى أن الصين ترى أنه في ظل الظروف الحالية، يجب التوصل إلى وقف شامل لإطلاق النار، والتخفيف من الكارثة الإنسانية بأقصى قدر من الإلحاح، مطالباً الدول التي لديها تأثير خاص على إسرائيل بتحمل مسؤوليتها.
مطالبات صينية
وقال ليان من الضروري «أن يحكم الفلسطينيون أنفسهم، وضمان الحقوق الوطنية المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني في إدارة ما بعد الصراع وترتيبات إعادة الإعمار»، مبيناً أن بلاده تقف على أهبة الاستعداد للعمل مع المجتمع الدولي للالتزام بوقف إطلاق النار في غزة، ودعم القضية العادلة للشعب الفلسطيني، وبذل جهود لا تكلّ من أجل التوصل إلى حل شامل وعادل ودائم للقضية الفلسطينية في أقرب وقت ممكن.
مالطا تعترف
وفي ذات السياق، أكد مكتب رئيس الوزراء في مالطا أن البلاد ستعترف رسمياً بدولة فلسطينية في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، اليوم، لتنضم مالطا بذلك إلى مجموعة من الدول الـ150 التي اعترفت بفلسطين من إجمالي 193دولة، فيما قال قال وزير الخارجية الدنماركي لارس لوكه راسموسن إن بلاده تعمل على خطة للاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية وسيحدد نهجاً واضحاً لموقف الدنمارك، في اجتماع الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
احتجاجات في إيطاليا
وعلى واقع التحركات السياسية الأوروبية، أغلق عمال أرصفة، اليوم، الطرق المؤدية إلى ميناء جنوى في شمال إيطاليا، في إطار إضراب ضمن احتجاجات ضد الحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة، كما أُغلقت عدد من المدارس في أنحاء إيطاليا بعد إضرابات دعت إليها مجموعة من النقابات تضامناً مع الشعب الفلسطيني.
ولوّح بعض المحتجين في شمال غرب إيطاليا بالعلم الفلسطيني خلال تجمعات صباحية حول الميناء، وعلى طول الساحل في مدينة ليفورنو التوسكانية، تم إغلاق مدخل الميناء من قبل العمال المحتجين.
As attention turns to New York today (Monday), amid anticipation for more countries to recognize the Palestinian state during the events of the
United Nations General Assembly, calls are increasing to affirm the Palestinian right to establish an independent and sovereign state, in order to maintain the two-state solution in the face of the fierce war waged by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia still believes that the two-state solution is the only way to resolve the conflict in the Middle East, emphasizing: "We remain committed to the fundamental resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, and we remain committed to the international stance regarding the possibility of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict based on the two-state solution."
Russian Position
He pointed out that this remains our approach, and the only possible way to find a solution to this long-standing and extremely complex conflict, which may now be going through its most intense and tragic phases.
At the same time, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian called for adherence to the two-state solution, enhancing consensus around it, and rejecting any unilateral actions that undermine the foundation of this solution, stressing that "force and violence will not achieve peace and security."
He noted that the Palestinian and Israeli peoples and the peoples of the Middle East want "lasting peace and an early end to the conflict."
He pointed out that China believes that under the current circumstances, a comprehensive ceasefire must be reached, and the humanitarian disaster must be alleviated with the utmost urgency, calling on countries with special influence over Israel to take responsibility.
Chinese Demands
Lian stated that it is essential "for the Palestinians to govern themselves and to ensure the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people in post-conflict management and reconstruction arrangements," indicating that his country is ready to work with the international community to commit to a ceasefire in Gaza, support the just cause of the Palestinian people, and make tireless efforts to reach a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue as soon as possible.
Malta Recognizes
In the same context, the Office of the Prime Minister in Malta confirmed that the country will officially recognize the Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in New York today, thus joining a group of 150 countries that have recognized Palestine out of a total of 193 countries. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen stated that his country is working on a plan to recognize a Palestinian state and will outline a clear approach to Denmark's position at the United Nations General Assembly.
Protests in Italy
Reflecting the European political movements, dock workers today closed the roads leading to the port of Genoa in northern Italy as part of a strike in protests against the Israeli war on Gaza. Several schools across Italy were also closed following strikes called by a group of unions in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Some protesters in northwestern Italy waved the Palestinian flag during morning gatherings around the port, and along the coast in the Tuscan city of Livorno, the port entrance was closed by protesting workers.
