أعلنت السلطات الأمريكية وقوع حادثة إطلاق نار داخل نادٍ ريفي في مدينة ناشوا بولاية نيو هامبشاير مساء السبت، أسفر عن مقتل شخص بالغ وإصابة عدد من الأشخاص.
وأوضح المدعي العام جون فورميلا ورئيس شرطة ناشوا كيفن رورك أن المشتبه به، وهو رجل بالغ، تم اعتقاله في موقع الحادثة، نافيا وجود أكثر من مسلح خلافاً لتقارير أولية غير دقيقة.
وقعت الحادثة في نادي «سكاي ميدو» الريفي، حيث هرعت فرق الطوارئ إلى المكان بكثافة، كما أظهرت لقطات جوية بثتها محطة «WMUR» المحلية.
وأكدت الشرطة أنه لا يوجد أي تهديد مستمر للسكان، في حين لم تُكشف تفاصيل حالة المصابين حتى الآن.
وتقع مدينة ناشوا على بُعد نحو 70 كيلومتراً شمال غرب مدينة بوسطن، بالقرب من حدود ولاية ماساتشوستس، ويجري حالياً التحقيق لمعرفة دوافع الحادثة والملابسات المحيطة بها.
The American authorities announced a shooting incident inside a country club in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of one adult and injuries to several others.
Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke clarified that the suspect, an adult male, was arrested at the scene of the incident, denying the presence of more than one shooter contrary to inaccurate initial reports.
The incident occurred at the "Sky Meadow" country club, where emergency teams rushed to the location in large numbers, as shown in aerial footage broadcast by the local station "WMUR."
The police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public, while details regarding the condition of the injured have not yet been disclosed.
The city of Nashua is located about 70 kilometers northwest of Boston, near the Massachusetts border, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the motives behind the incident and the surrounding circumstances.
