As preparations are underway for the two-state solution conference, which will be held the day after tomorrow (Monday) at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, especially following the arrival of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in America, French President Emmanuel Macron announced today (Saturday) that he had a phone call with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Macron wrote on his account on "X": "I just spoke with the Saudi Crown Prince," confirming that the endorsement of the New York Declaration on the two-state solution by 142 countries marked a turning point in charting the path towards lasting peace and security in the Middle East.

Two-State Solution Conference

He added: "The two-state solution conference, which we will co-chair in New York on Monday, will enable us to take another step towards mobilizing the international community," emphasizing: "Two peoples and two states, and peace and security for all."

French President Emmanuel Macron had confirmed to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday his country's intention to recognize the State of Palestine next Monday in New York, clarifying that the recognition of the State of Palestine falls within a comprehensive peace plan for the region aimed at meeting the aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians for security and peace.

Palestinian State

Macron explained that Abbas emphasized during their phone call his determination to implement the necessary reforms and respond to the challenges facing the future State of Palestine, adding that his country will continue to accompany the Palestinian authorities on this path.

On another note, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived today in New York City, USA, to head the Kingdom's delegation participating in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly in its eightieth session.
