أعلنت وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية أن الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونغ أون أشرف على اختبار طائرات هجومية مسيّرة من طراز «كومسونغ» وأمر بتعزيز قدراتها عبر الذكاء الاصطناعي.
وقد أظهرت صور -نشرتها وسائل الإعلام الرسمية- عملية إقلاع هذه الطائرات وتدميرها لهدف محدد.
وقالت الوكالة إن كيم أعرب عن «رضاه الكبير» إزاء ما وصفته بـ«الفعالية القتالية الممتازة» لهذه الطائرات.
وأكد الزعيم الكوري الشمالي أن المسيّرات الهجومية باتت عنصرا رئيسيا في النشاط العسكري وأولوية قصوى في تحديث القوات المسلحة لبلاده.
وأصدر كيم توجيهات بتسريع تطوير تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي في هذا المجال، إضافة إلى توسيع قدرات الإنتاج وتعزيز منظومة الطائرات الإستراتيجية المخصصة للاستطلاع والعمليات الهجومية.
وكانت بيونغ يانغ قد كشفت عن أولى طائراتها الهجومية المسيّرة العام الماضي، وحذّر خبراء من ارتباط هذا التطور بتحالفها المتنامي مع روسيا.
ويرتبط البلدان بمعاهدة دفاع مشترك أبرمت عام 2024، ويواجه كل منهما عقوبات دولية كبيرة، والتي فرضت على موسكو بسبب حربها في أوكرانيا، وعلى بيونغ يانغ بسبب برنامجها للأسلحة النووية.
ووفق تقارير وكالات استخبارات كورية جنوبية وغربية، فإن بيونغ يانغ أرسلت أكثر من 10 آلاف جندي إلى روسيا عام 2024، بينهم نحو 600 قُتلوا خلال الحرب إلى جانب القوات الروسية، إضافة إلى تزويد موسكو بقذائف مدفعية وأنظمة صاروخية بعيدة المدى.
The Korean Central News Agency announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the testing of "Kumsong" model attack drones and ordered the enhancement of their capabilities through artificial intelligence.
Images released by state media showed the takeoff of these drones and their destruction of a designated target.
The agency stated that Kim expressed "great satisfaction" regarding what it described as the "excellent combat effectiveness" of these drones.
The North Korean leader confirmed that attack drones have become a key element in military activity and a top priority in modernizing his country's armed forces.
Kim issued directives to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence technologies in this field, in addition to expanding production capabilities and enhancing the strategic drone system designated for reconnaissance and offensive operations.
Last year, Pyongyang revealed its first attack drones, and experts warned that this development is linked to its growing alliance with Russia.
The two countries are bound by a mutual defense treaty signed in 2024, and each faces significant international sanctions, which were imposed on Moscow due to its war in Ukraine and on Pyongyang due to its nuclear weapons program.
According to reports from South Korean and Western intelligence agencies, Pyongyang sent more than 10,000 soldiers to Russia in 2024, of whom about 600 were killed during the war alongside Russian forces, in addition to supplying Moscow with artillery shells and long-range missile systems.
