أبدى رئيس مجلس الوزراء سالم صالح بن بريك تفاعلاً ملحوظاً مع قضية اغتيال مديرة صندوق النظافة بمحافظة تعز اليمنية افتهان المشهري، التي أثار مقتلها على يد عصابة مسلحة موجة غضب وسخط كبير في الشارع اليمني، وحالة احتجاجات واسعة في مدينة تعز اليمنية الواقعة حنوب غرب العاصمة المؤقتة عدن.
وفي اتصال هاتفي مع محافط محافظة تعز نبيل شمسان وجه رئيس الوزراء سالم صالح بن بريك قيادة السلطة المحلية والأجهزة العسكرية والأمنية المختصة بمحافظة تعز بسرعة ملاحقة وضبط الجناة المتورطين في عملية الاغتيال الآثمة والجبانة التي استهدفت مديرة صندوق النظافة والتحسين في المحافظة إفتهان المشهري. مؤكداً على ضرورة ملاحقة الجناة وضبطهم وتقديمهم إلى الأجهزة القضائية لينالوا جزاءهم العادل والرادع، مشدداً على ضرورة التصدي للجماعات الإرهابية والمتطرفة وعدم التهاون أمام مساعيها لزعزعة الأمن والاستقرار والسكينة العامة للمجتمع ومواجهتها بكل قوة وحزم.
واستمع بن بريك من محافظ تعز إلى تقرير أولي عن ملابسات الجريمة، والإجراءات التي اتخذتها اللجنة الأمنية لضبط المتهمين بعد أن تم تحديد هوياتهم، والحملة الأمنية المشتركة لضبطهم، بما في ذلك تعميم صور المطلوبين في جميع المنافذ والنقاط.
وحمل رئيس الوزراء محافظ تعز نقل تعازيه الحارة ومواساته الصادقة إلى أسرة الشهيدة إفتهان المشهري، داعياً الله العلي القدير أن يتغمدها بواسع الرحمة والمغفرة وأن يسكنها فسيح جناته، ويلهم أهلها وذويها وجميع زملائها الصبر والسلوان، منوهاً بما قدمته الفقيدة من نموذج للكفاءة والإخلاص والتفاني في عملها.
وأكد رئيس الوزراء بأنه يجب ان لا يفلت الجناة من العقاب وستطالهم يد العدالة، ويدفعون ثمن جريمتهم، لافتاً إلى أهمية مضاعفة الجهود لضبط الأمن والاستقرار وملاحقة العناصر الخارجة عن القانون، وتجاوز الاختلالات الأمنية وتحقيق سيادة القانون.
وكانت مدينة تعز جنوب غرب اليمن قد شهدت صدمة كبيرة وموجة غضب شعبية كبيرة، اثر مقتل السيدة إفتهان المشهري، والتي تعد أيضاً وإحدة من أبرز النساء الرائدات في العمل المدني والإنساني بالمحافظة.
وكانت مصادر محلية قد أفادت أن المشهري قُتلت في ظروف مأساوية، وسط مدينة تعز في منطقة جولة سنان مساء أمس، في حادثة هزّت الشارع وأثارت استنكاراً واسعاً.
The Prime Minister, Salem Saleh bin Breik, showed notable engagement with the issue of the assassination of the Director of the Cleaning Fund in the Yemeni governorate of Taiz, Iftihan Al-Mashhari, whose murder at the hands of an armed gang sparked a wave of anger and outrage in the Yemeni street, along with widespread protests in the city of Taiz, located southwest of the temporary capital, Aden.
In a phone call with the Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik directed the local authority leadership and the relevant military and security agencies in Taiz to swiftly pursue and apprehend the perpetrators involved in the heinous and cowardly assassination that targeted the Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the governorate, Iftihan Al-Mashhari. He emphasized the necessity of pursuing the culprits, apprehending them, and presenting them to the judicial authorities to receive their just and deterrent punishment, stressing the need to confront terrorist and extremist groups and not to be lenient in the face of their attempts to undermine security, stability, and public tranquility in society, and to confront them with all strength and determination.
Bin Breik listened to an initial report from the Governor of Taiz regarding the circumstances of the crime and the measures taken by the security committee to apprehend the suspects after their identities were determined, as well as the joint security campaign to capture them, including disseminating the images of the wanted individuals at all crossings and checkpoints.
The Prime Minister tasked the Governor of Taiz with conveying his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the martyr Iftihan Al-Mashhari, praying to Almighty God to envelop her in His vast mercy and forgiveness, to grant her a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire her family, relatives, and all her colleagues with patience and solace, noting the exemplary model of competence, sincerity, and dedication that the deceased provided in her work.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the perpetrators must not escape punishment and that the hand of justice will reach them, and they will pay the price for their crime, pointing out the importance of doubling efforts to maintain security and stability, pursue lawless elements, overcome security imbalances, and achieve the rule of law.
The city of Taiz, southwest Yemen, experienced a significant shock and a large wave of popular anger following the murder of Ms. Iftihan Al-Mashhari, who is also considered one of the most prominent pioneering women in civil and humanitarian work in the governorate.
Local sources reported that Al-Mashhari was killed under tragic circumstances in the city of Taiz in the Sinan Roundabout area last night, in an incident that shook the street and provoked widespread condemnation.
