أشاد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي، بمواقف الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية المساندة للشرعية والداعمة للحكومة اليمنية في القيام بمسؤولياتها في خدمة الشعب اليمني، والعمل على استعادة مؤسسات الدولة، وتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار، والسلام، وإنهاء الانقلاب الحوثي. وأكد خلال استقباله القائم بأعمال السفارة الأمريكية في اليمن جوناثان بيتشا على أهمية الشراكة القائمة مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية واستمرار التعاون بين البلدين في مجال مكافحة الإرهاب، متطرقاً إلى الدور الأمريكي الفاعل في دعم آلية الأمم المتحدة للتفتيش، وتنفيذ قرار حظر الأسلحة المهربة إلى الحوثيين، وتجفيف مصادر تمويلها وأنشطتها الإرهابية، وردع تهديداتها المزعزعة لأمن واستقرار اليمن، والمنطقة.
وجرى في اللقاء بحث العلاقات الثنائية المتميزة بين البلدين الصديقين، وآفاق تعزيزها، وتطويرها، إضافة إلى مناقشة مستجدات الأوضاع المحلية على كافة الأصعدة، والوقوف أمام الدعم الدولي المطلوب لجهود الاصلاحات الشاملة، فضلاً عن التنسيق والشراكة القائمة في مختلف المجالات.
بدوره جدد القائم بأعمال السفارة الأمريكية التزام الولايات المتحدة القوي بدعم مجلس القيادة الرئاسي ووحدته، ومواصلة جهوده المقدرة مع المجتمع الدولي من أجل تحقيق السلام في اليمن، وإنهاء المعاناة الإنسانية التي صنعتها جماعة الحوثيين.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, praised the positions of the United States of America in support of legitimacy and its backing of the Yemeni government in fulfilling its responsibilities to serve the Yemeni people, work towards restoring state institutions, achieving security, stability, and peace, and ending the Houthi coup. During his meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Yemen, Jonathan Pecha, he emphasized the importance of the existing partnership with the United States and the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorism, addressing the active American role in supporting the United Nations inspection mechanism, implementing the ban on arms smuggled to the Houthis, drying up their funding sources and terrorist activities, and deterring their threats to the security and stability of Yemen and the region.
During the meeting, they discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, the prospects for enhancing and developing them, in addition to discussing the latest developments in local conditions on all levels, and addressing the required international support for comprehensive reform efforts, as well as the existing coordination and partnership in various fields.
For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy renewed the strong commitment of the United States to support the Presidential Leadership Council and its unity, and to continue its valued efforts with the international community to achieve peace in Yemen and end the humanitarian suffering caused by the Houthi group.
