في زيارة دولة ثانية غير مسبوقة، استقبل الملك تشارلز الثالث اليوم (الأربعاء) الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في قلعة وندسور وسط إجراءات أمنية وذلك بعد أن وصل أمس إلى لندن.
ومن المقرر أن يضع ترمب وميلانيا إكليلا من الزهر على قبر الملكة إليزابيث الثانية التي توفيت في العام 2022. وبحسب الصحافة البريطانية فإن الملك (76 عاما) والذي يخضع للعلاج من السرطان، لم يكن متحمسا لفكرة دعوة الرئيس الجمهوري، خصوصاً بعد أن استضافته والدته الملكة إليزابيث الثانية عام 2019، غير أن حكومة حزب العمال تسعى إلى تعزيز «العلاقة الخاصة» بين لندن وواشنطن مستغلة إعجاب ترمب بالعائلة المالكة.

من المرتقب أن يجري الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مع الملك في تشيكرز غداً (الخميس) محاثات للتركيز على ملف التعرفات الجمركية، والذي كان قد أعلن أن بريطانيا تريد تحسين الاتفاق قليلا، كما ستكشف الولايات المتحدة استثمارات تصل لعشرات المليارات.
وذكرت شبكة «سي إن بي سي» الأمريكية أن ثلاثة ملفات أساسية تسعى بريطانيا لتحقيقها من زيارة ترمب، والتي منها استعادة الثقة السياسية واستكمال اتفاق التجارة العالمية.
زيارة ضخمة
أكد ترمب للصحفيين عقب وصوله لندن أمس أن زيارته «ضخمة»، موضحاً أنه يعتبر الملك تشارلز الثالث صديقاً قديماً.
وشددت المملكة المتحدة إجراءاتها الأمنية مع إعلان شرطة «تيمز فالي» نشر وحدتها البحرية حول قلعة وندسور في إطار مجموعة واسعة من التدابير الظاهرة والخفية لضمان الأمن.

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to hold talks with the king at Chequers tomorrow (Thursday) to focus on the issue of tariffs, which he announced Britain wants to improve slightly. The United States will also unveil investments amounting to tens of billions.
According to American network CNBC, there are three key objectives that Britain aims to achieve from Trump's visit, including restoring political confidence and completing the global trade agreement.
Massive Visit
Trump confirmed to reporters after arriving in London yesterday that his visit is "massive," stating that he considers King Charles III an old friend.
The United Kingdom has tightened its security measures, with the Thames Valley Police announcing the deployment of its marine unit around Windsor Castle as part of a wide range of visible and covert measures to ensure safety.
