أجل مجلس الأمن الدولي اليوم (الأربعاء) الاجتماع الطارئ الذي كان مقراً اليوم لبحث الاعتداء الإسرائيلي على قطر إلى غدٍ (الخميس)، بناءً على طلب الدوحة.
وأعلنت الرئاسة الكورية الجنوبية لمجلس الأمن الدولي في بيان: «أرجأ مجلس الأمن اجتماعه الطارئ اليوم بشأن الوضع في الشرق الأوسط إلى بعد ظهر الغد، بناء على طلب قطر، حتى يتمكن رئيس الوزراء القطري من المشاركة»، ولم يتضح على الفور ما إذا كان رئيس الوزراء القطري الشيخ محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني سيحضر شخصياً.
وكانت قطر قد وجهت رسالة للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيرش، والقائم بالأعمال بالوفد الدائم لكوريا الجنوبية لدى الأمم المتحدة رئيس مجلس الأمن لشهر سبتمبر الجاري سانغجين كيم، بشأن الهجوم الإسرائيلي الجبان الذي استهدف مقرات سكنية يقيم فيها عدد من أعضاء المكتب السياسي لحركة حماس في العاصمة الدوحة، معربة عن إدانتها بأشد العبارات لهذا الاعتداء الإجرامي، الذي يشكل انتهاكاً صارخاً لكافة القوانين والأعراف الدولية، وتهديداً خطيراً لأمن وسلامة القطريين والمقيمين على أرضها.
ودانت قطر بأشد العبارات هذا الاعتداء، مؤكدة أنها لن تتهاون مع هذا السلوك الإسرائيلي المتهور والعبث المستمر بأمن الإقليم وأي عمل يستهدف أمنها وسيادتها، وأن التحقيقات جارية على أعلى مستوى، وسيتم الإعلان عن المزيد من التفاصيل فور توفرها.
وطالبت الدوحة بتعميم الرسالة على أعضاء مجلس الأمن، وإصدارها كوثيقة رسمية من وثائق المجلس.
The United Nations Security Council today (Wednesday) postponed the emergency meeting that was scheduled for today to discuss the Israeli aggression against Qatar to tomorrow (Thursday), at the request of Doha.
The South Korean presidency of the UN Security Council announced in a statement: "The Security Council has postponed its emergency meeting today regarding the situation in the Middle East to tomorrow afternoon, based on Qatar's request, so that the Qatari Prime Minister can participate," and it was not immediately clear whether Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani would attend in person.
Qatar had sent a message to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Permanent Mission of South Korea to the UN, the President of the Security Council for the month of September, Sangjin Kim, regarding the cowardly Israeli attack that targeted residential premises where several members of the Hamas Political Bureau reside in the capital, Doha, expressing its strongest condemnation of this criminal aggression, which constitutes a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and a serious threat to the security and safety of Qataris and residents on its territory.
Qatar condemned this aggression in the strongest terms, affirming that it will not tolerate this reckless Israeli behavior and the ongoing meddling with the security of the region and any actions targeting its security and sovereignty, and that investigations are underway at the highest level, with more details to be announced as they become available.
Doha called for the message to be circulated to Security Council members and issued as an official document of the Council.
