يعقد مجلس الأمن الدولي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، جلسة طارئة لبحث الهجوم الإسرائيلي، الذي استهدف أحد المقرات السكنية التي يقيم فيها عدد من أعضاء المكتب السياسي لحركة حماس في الدوحة أمس (الثلاثاء)، بطلب من الجزائر وباكستان.
وذكرت مصادر دبلوماسية بالأمم المتحدة أن من المقرر يستمع أعضاء المجلس خلال الجلسة إلى إحاطة من كبار مسؤولي الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة حول التطورات الأخيرة وخطورة التصعيد الإسرائيلي.
غوتيريش: انتهاك صارخ لسيادة قطر
وكان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش، قد ندد أمس بالهجوم الإسرائيلي على قطر، مشدداً على أنه انتهاك صارخ لسيادة قطر وسلامة أراضيها.
وقال غوتيريش في تصريحات إن قطر تلعب دوراً إيجابياً للغاية في محاولة التوصل إلى وقف إطلاق نار في غزة وإطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن، داعياً جميع الأطراف إلى العمل على تحقيق وقف إطلاق نار دائم في قطاع غزة وليس تدميره.
وكانت وزارة الداخلية القطرية قد أعلنت أمس، عن استشهاد ثلاثة أشخاص، من بينهم أحد منتسبي قوة الأمن الداخلي، ونجل رئيس المكتب السياسي لحركة حماس خليل الحية، وإصابة عدد من المدنيين، جراء الهجوم الإسرائيلي على أحد المقرات السكنية التي يقيم فيها عدد من أعضاء المكتب السياسي للحركة في الدوحة.
The United Nations Security Council is holding an emergency session today (Wednesday) to discuss the Israeli attack that targeted a residential compound where several members of the Hamas political bureau reside in Doha yesterday (Tuesday), at the request of Algeria and Pakistan.
Diplomatic sources at the United Nations stated that during the session, council members are scheduled to hear a briefing from senior officials of the UN Secretariat regarding the recent developments and the seriousness of the Israeli escalation.
Guterres: A flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty
The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar yesterday, emphasizing that it is a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Guterres stated in remarks that Qatar plays a very positive role in trying to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages, calling on all parties to work towards achieving a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip rather than its destruction.
The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced yesterday that three people were martyred, including one member of the Internal Security Force and the son of the head of Hamas's political bureau, Khalil al-Hayya, and several civilians were injured as a result of the Israeli attack on one of the residential compounds where several members of the movement's political bureau reside in Doha.
