أعلن المتحدث باسم منسقية النازحين واللاجئين في إقليم دارفور غرب السودان آدم رجال، اليوم (الأحد) وفاة 416 سودانياً، مؤكداً ارتفاع العدد التراكمي لإصابات الكوليرا إلى 10297 شخصاً.
وقال «رجال» إن الإحصاءات الأخيرة أظهرت تسجيل 270 إصابة جديدة و6 وفيات أمس (السبت)، مبيناً أن منطقة طويلة التي استقبلت أعداداً كبيرة من النازحين القادمين من مدينة الفاشر خلال الفترة الماضية سجلت أعلى معدلات الإصابة وتجاوزت الإصابات 5000 شخص و78 وفاة.
كارثة تهدد الآلاف
ودعا المتحدث باسم المنسقية، منظمة الصحة العالمية والمنظمات الإنسانية ذات الصلة إلى اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة وفعالة لاحتواء تفشي الكوليرا، محذراً من أن الأوضاع الصحية الحالية تمثل كارثة تهدد حياة الآلاف.
من جهتها، وصفت شبكة أطباء السودان، إقرار منظمة الصحة العالمية بوجود مجاعة في الفاشر، يشكل أهمية.
وأشارت إلى أن ما يحدث في الفاشر إبادة جماعية مكتملة الأركان، محملة قوات الدعم السريع المسوؤلية الكاملة؛ كونها تمنع مرور الغذاء والدواء وتحاصر المدنيين بلا رحمة.
رفع الحصار
وطالبت الشبكة على حسابها في الفيسبوك، المجتمع الدولي بتجاوز مرحلة الأقوال إلى الأفعال، وممارسة ضغط حقيقي وعاجل لرفع الحصار فوراً.
وأشارت الشبكة إلى أن كل دقيقة تأخير تعني مزيداً من الضحايا ومزيداً من الأطفال الذين يختطفهم الجوع، لافتة إلى أن التجاهل من المجتمع الدولي لن يُغفر، وبصمتهم يشاركون في هذه الجريمة.

The spokesperson for the Coordination of Displaced Persons and Refugees in the Darfur region of western Sudan, Adam Rijal, announced today (Sunday) the death of 416 Sudanese, confirming that the cumulative number of cholera cases has risen to 10,297 people.
Rijal stated that the latest statistics showed the registration of 270 new cases and 6 deaths yesterday (Saturday), indicating that the Longa area, which has received a large number of displaced persons coming from the city of El Fasher in recent times, has recorded the highest infection rates, with cases exceeding 5,000 and 78 deaths.
A disaster threatening thousands
The spokesperson for the coordination called on the World Health Organization and relevant humanitarian organizations to take urgent and effective measures to contain the cholera outbreak, warning that the current health conditions represent a disaster threatening the lives of thousands.
For its part, the Sudan Doctors Network described the World Health Organization's acknowledgment of the existence of famine in El Fasher as significant.
It pointed out that what is happening in El Fasher is a complete genocide, holding the Rapid Support Forces fully responsible, as they prevent the passage of food and medicine and besiege civilians mercilessly.

The network called on its Facebook account for the international community to move from words to actions, and to exert real and urgent pressure to lift the siege immediately.
The network noted that every minute of delay means more victims and more children being taken by hunger, emphasizing that the international community's neglect will not be forgiven, and by their silence, they are complicit in this crime.
