جذرت البعثة الأممية في ليبيا اليوم (الثلاثاء)، من خطورة تصاعد التوترات في العاصمة طرابلس والذي قالت إنه قد يؤدي إلى اندلاع مواجهات مسلحة، معربة عن انزعاجها البالغ، إزاء التقارير التي تفيد بتصاعد التوترات واستمرار التعبئة العسكرية.
وذكرت البعثة في بيان على منصة «إكس»، أنها تدرك بوجود مفاوضات مستمرة بإشراف المجلس الرئاسي لتهدئة الوضع، داعية الأطراف إلى مواصلة الانخراط فيها ومناقشة القضايا المتبقية بحسن نية والعمل لما فيه المصلحة العليا لسكان طرابلس المدنيين، الذين تجب حمايتهم.
وحذرت البعثة من أن أي صراع جديد لا يهدد أمن طرابلس فحسب، بل قد يمتد إلى مناطق أخرى في البلاد، وقد يؤدي ذلك إلى حرب الجميع خاسر فيها، وتعرّض حياة المدنيين لخطر جسيم، مطالبة جميع الأطراف إلى وقف أشكال التصعيد كافة والامتناع على الفور عن أية أعمال من شأنها تعريض المدنيين للخطر.
وشددت البعثة على ضرورة حماية أرواح المدنيين والبنية التحتية في جميع الظروف، مبينة أن تجدد الاشتباكات له عواقب وخيمة على ليبيا وشعبها.
وأعلنت البعثة مواصلة دعمها لجهود الوساطة، مؤكدة استعدادها لبذل المزيد من المساعي الحميدة للانخراط بشكل مباشر في المفاوضات تحت رعاية المجلس الرئاسي.
ودعت البعثة جميع الأطراف المعنية إلى اغتنام هذه الفرصة لحل الخلافات بالحوار وبعيداً عن العنف.
وتشهد العاصمة الليبية طرابلس توتراً وتعبئة عسكرية بين «جهاز الردع»، التابع للمجلس الرئاسي، والحكومة المقالة من البرلمان والتي يقودها عبد الحميد الدبيبة، والتي تسعى لاستعادة السيطرة على مطار معيتيقة الخاضع لسيطرة جهاز الردع، فيما يتمسك الدبيبة بالمضي قدماً في تفكيك التشكيلات المسلحة، ضمن ترتيبات تستهدف تفكيك أبرز الأجهزة المسيطرة على مناطق حيوية في المدينة.

The UN mission in Libya today (Tuesday) rooted the seriousness of the escalating tensions in the capital, Tripoli, which it said could lead to armed confrontations, expressing its deep concern regarding reports of rising tensions and ongoing military mobilization.
The mission stated in a statement on the "X" platform that it is aware of ongoing negotiations under the auspices of the Presidential Council to calm the situation, urging the parties to continue engaging in them and to discuss the remaining issues in good faith and work for the higher interests of the civilian population of Tripoli, who must be protected.
The mission warned that any new conflict not only threatens the security of Tripoli but could also extend to other areas of the country, which could lead to a war where everyone loses, putting civilian lives at serious risk. It called on all parties to cease all forms of escalation and to immediately refrain from any actions that could endanger civilians.
The mission emphasized the necessity of protecting civilian lives and infrastructure under all circumstances, indicating that the renewal of clashes has dire consequences for Libya and its people.
The mission announced its continued support for mediation efforts, affirming its readiness to make further good offices to engage directly in negotiations under the auspices of the Presidential Council.
The mission called on all concerned parties to seize this opportunity to resolve disputes through dialogue and away from violence.
The Libyan capital, Tripoli, is witnessing tensions and military mobilization between the "Deterrence Force," affiliated with the Presidential Council, and the government dismissed by the parliament, led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, which is seeking to regain control of Mitiga Airport, currently under the control of the Deterrence Force, while Dbeibah insists on moving forward with dismantling armed formations as part of arrangements aimed at dismantling the most prominent forces controlling vital areas in the city.
