كشفت وسائل إعلام رسمية في كوريا الشمالية اليوم (الثلاثاء) عبور الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونج أون الحدود متوجهاً إلى الصين على متن قطاره الخاص في وقت مبكر اليوم وذلك لحضور احتفال الصين بذكرى انتهاء الحرب العالمية الثانية.
وأفادت صحيفة «رودونج سينمون»، الحكومية بأن كيم غادر بيونج يانج متوجهاً إلى الصين (الإثنين)، وعبر الحدود في وقت مبكر اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مبينة أن كيم سيظهر جنباً إلى جنب مع الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، والرئيس الصيني شي جين بينج، في الاستعراض العسكري في بكين غداً (الأربعاء).
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء الكورية الجنوبية يونهاب أنه ومنذ 66 عاماً يظهر قادة كوريا الشمالية للمرة الأولى مع روسيا والصين، التي تربطها علاقات تاريخية تعود إلى الحرب الباردة، في نفس المكان، مبينة أن كيم سيجلس إلى يسار شي، في حين سيجلس بوتين، على يمينه، وسيشارك رؤساء 26 دولة أجنبية في العرض العسكري الذي يعرض أحدث الأسلحة الصينية وتشكيلات القوات.
وقالت «يونهاب» إن حضور كيم العرض العسكري قد يمهد الطريق لعقد قمة ثلاثية مع شي وبوتين، على هامش الحدث، مبينة أن القمة إذا عقدت ستكون أول لقاء بينهم، وقد تشير إلى تعزيز التعاون الثلاثي، في موازاة الشراكة الأمنية المتنامية بين كوريا الجنوبية والولايات المتحدة واليابان.
بدورها، أفادت وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية الشمالية بأن كيم زار قبل عبوره إلى الصين مختبراً يجري أبحاثاً على مواد مركبة من ألياف الكربون لاستخدامها في محركات الصواريخ الباليستية العابرة للقارات.
ولم يظهر كيم، الذي تولى السلطة في أواخر عام 2011، في أي حدث دبلوماسي متعدد الأطراف حتى الآن. وكانت آخر مرة حضر فيها زعيم كوري شمالي استعراضاً عسكرياً صينياً في عام 1959، عندما حضره جده ومؤسس كوريا الشمالية كيم إيل-سونج.

Official media in North Korea revealed today (Tuesday) that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un crossed the border heading to China aboard his private train early this morning to attend China's celebration of the anniversary of the end of World War II.
The state newspaper "Rodong Sinmun" reported that Kim left Pyongyang for China on (Monday) and crossed the border early today (Tuesday), indicating that Kim will appear alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the military parade in Beijing tomorrow (Wednesday).
South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that for the first time in 66 years, North Korean leaders will appear with Russia and China, which have historical ties dating back to the Cold War, in the same place. It noted that Kim will sit to Xi's left, while Putin will sit to his right, and leaders from 26 foreign countries will participate in the military parade showcasing the latest Chinese weapons and troop formations.
Yonhap stated that Kim's attendance at the military parade could pave the way for a trilateral summit with Xi and Putin on the sidelines of the event, noting that if the summit takes place, it would be their first meeting and could indicate a strengthening of trilateral cooperation, alongside the growing security partnership between South Korea, the United States, and Japan.
For its part, the Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim visited a laboratory conducting research on composite materials made from carbon fibers for use in intercontinental ballistic missile engines before crossing into China.
Kim, who came to power in late 2011, has not attended any multilateral diplomatic events so far. The last time a North Korean leader attended a Chinese military parade was in 1959, when it was attended by his grandfather and founder of North Korea, Kim Il-sung.
