أعلنت القوات المسلحة الصرية بدء فعاليات التدريب المصري الأمريكي المشترك «النجم الساطع - 2025 » والذى تستمر فعالياته حتى 10 سبتمبر، بميادين التدريب القتالي بقاعدة محمد نجيب العسكرية وعدد من القواعد البحرية والجوية في مصر، وذلك بمشاركة أكثر من 8000 مقاتل من 14 دولة بينها السعودية، فضلاً عن مشاركة 30 دولة أخرى بصفة مراقب.
ويأتي التدريب المشترك «النجم الساطع 2025» والذي تشارك فيه عناصر من الشرطة المدنية وممثلي اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر وحلف الناتو، في إطار حرص القوات المسلحة المصرية على دعم علاقات التعاون العسكري وتبادل الخبرات مع مختلف الدول الشقيقة والصديقة.
وخلال مراسم الافتتاح ألقى اللواء أركان حرب شريف العرايشي رئيس هيئة التدريب للقوات المسلحة كلمة نقل خلالها تحيات وتقدير الفريق أول عبد المجيد صقر القائد العام للقوات المسلحة وزير الدفاع والإنتاج الحربى والفريق أحمد خليفة رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة للقوات المشاركة بالتدريب، مشيراً إلى أهمية التدريب المصري الأمريكي المشترك «النجم الساطع» كونه من أكبر التدريبات العسكرية المشتركة التي تشهدها المنطقة بما يعكس حجم الاستفادة وتعزيز روابط العلاقات العسكرية بين كافة الدول المشاركة بالتدريب.
كما ألقى العميد باتريك كلير مدير التدريب من الجانب الأمريكي كلمة أعرب خلالها عن تقديره لكافة الجهود التي قامت بها القوات المسلحة المصرية لاستضافة هذا التدريب الضخم، مما يعكس حجم المجهودات المبذولة والإعداد والتخطيط الراقي الذي يجعل من التدريب فرصة مناسبة لتبادل الخبرات والاطلاع على مختلف الثقافات العسكرية بين المشاركين في التدريب.
وتفقد قادة عناصر الدول المشاركة معرضاً للأسلحة والمعدات، كما قدمت الموسيقات العسكرية عدداً من العروض تزامناً مع بدء فعاليات التدريب، فيما أعرب عدد من العناصر المشاركة بالتدريب عن التقدير للدولة المصرية لما لمسوه من الحفاوة الترحيبية وحسن الاستقبال، مؤكدين على أهمية التدريب الذي يتيح الفرصة لتبادل الخبرات ودعم علاقات التعاون العسكري.
وعلى هامش فعاليات التدريب نفذت عناصر من قوات المظلات المصرية والأمريكية نشاطاً استعراضياً تضمن الإسقاط المظلي بمنطقة الأهرامات الأثرية، وذلك بحضور عدد من قادة القوات المسلحة والسفيرة الأمريكية بجمهورية مصر العربية.
وانطلقت مناورات «النجم الساطع» لأول مرة في أكتوبر 1980، بعد توقيع معاهدة كامب ديفيد، كتدريب ثنائي بين مصر والولايات المتحدة، وتطورت لاحقاً لتشمل دولاً أخرى، وأصبحت تقام كل عامين في الخريف، باستثناء توقفات في أعوام 1991 (حرب الخليج)، 2003 (حرب العراق)، 2011 (ثورة يناير)، و2013 (الاضطرابات السياسية)، وفي 2023، شاركت 34 دولة، وارتفع العدد إلى 44 دولة في 2025، مما يعكس أهمية التدريب عالمياً.
وتشمل الدول المشاركة بقوات 14 دولة وهي مصر، الولايات المتحدة، السعودية، قطر، الهند، إيطاليا، قبرص، العراق، اليونان، اليمن، المملكة المتحدة، الأردن، جنوب أفريقيا، وقيرغيزستان، أما الدول المراقبة 30 دولة فتشمل دولًا مثل فرنسا، ألمانيا، وباكستان، مما يعكس التنوع الجغرافي والسياسي للمشاركين.
The Egyptian Armed Forces announced the commencement of the joint Egyptian-American training activities "Bright Star - 2025," which will continue until September 10, at the combat training fields of Mohamed Naguib Military Base and several naval and air bases in Egypt, with the participation of more than 8,000 fighters from 14 countries, including Saudi Arabia, in addition to the participation of 30 other countries as observers.
The joint training "Bright Star 2025," which includes elements from civilian police and representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross and NATO, comes as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' commitment to support military cooperation and exchange experiences with various brotherly and friendly countries.
During the opening ceremony, Major General Sharif Al-Iraishi, Head of the Armed Forces Training Authority, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of General Abdel Meguid Saker, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the participating forces in the training, pointing to the importance of the joint Egyptian-American training "Bright Star" as it is one of the largest joint military exercises in the region, reflecting the extent of benefit and enhancing military relations among all participating countries.
Brigadier General Patrick Clear, the training director from the American side, also delivered a speech expressing his appreciation for all the efforts made by the Egyptian Armed Forces to host this massive training, reflecting the level of efforts and high-level preparation and planning that make the training a suitable opportunity for exchanging experiences and learning about various military cultures among the participants.
The leaders of the participating countries inspected an exhibition of weapons and equipment, and military bands presented several performances coinciding with the start of the training activities, while several participants expressed their appreciation to the Egyptian state for the warm hospitality and good reception they experienced, emphasizing the importance of the training, which provides an opportunity for exchanging experiences and supporting military cooperation.
On the sidelines of the training activities, elements from the Egyptian and American parachute forces conducted a demonstration activity that included parachute drops in the area of the archaeological pyramids, attended by several leaders of the Armed Forces and the American ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The "Bright Star" maneuvers were launched for the first time in October 1980, following the signing of the Camp David Accords, as a bilateral training between Egypt and the United States, and later evolved to include other countries, taking place every two years in the fall, except for interruptions in 1991 (Gulf War), 2003 (Iraq War), 2011 (January Revolution), and 2013 (political unrest). In 2023, 34 countries participated, and the number increased to 44 countries in 2025, reflecting the global importance of the training.
The participating forces include 14 countries: Egypt, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Italy, Cyprus, Iraq, Greece, Yemen, the United Kingdom, Jordan, South Africa, and Kyrgyzstan. The 30 observing countries include nations such as France, Germany, and Pakistan, reflecting the geographical and political diversity of the participants.
