اتهم الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (الجمعة)، موسكو بحشد نحو 100 ألف جندي قرب مدينة بوكروفسك، موضحاً أن هذا الحشد يستعد لعمليات هجومية.
وقال زيلينسكي للصحافيين: «هناك حشد وتمركز للعدو. ما يصل إلى 100 ألف جندي، هذا ما لدينا حتى صباح اليوم. إنهم يستعدون لعمليات هجومية على أي حال»، مضيفاً أن القوات الأوكرانية تعمل على التصدي للقوات الروسية في منطقة سومي على الحدود الشمالية الشرقية.
يذكر أن مدينة بوكروفسك تُعد من المدن الرئيسية في شرق أوكرانيا، فيما تتحدث روسيا عن كونها جزءاً من أراضيها.
وفي سياق متصل، كشف المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف، في وقت سابق اليوم، شروط الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين للقاء نظيره الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، مؤكداً أن بوتين لا يستبعد عقد اللقاء شريطة الإعداد الجيد له.
وقال بيسكوف للصحفيين: «أود أن أذكركم بموقف الرئيس بوتين، فهو لا يستبعد إمكانية عقد مثل هذا اللقاء، لكن أي اجتماع على أعلى مستوى يجب أن يُحضَّر له جيداً، ويُستكمل العمل المطلوب أولاً على مستوى الخبراء».
وفي موازاة ذلك، يدرس القادة الأوروبيون إنشاء منطقة عازلة بعمق 40 كيلومتراً على طول خطوط المواجهة الروسية-الأوكرانية، إلى جانب تخصيص نحو 200 مليار يورو من الأصول الروسية المجمدة لإعادة إعمار أوكرانيا بعد الحرب، وذلك ضمن مقترحات لاتفاق سلام محتمل.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow today (Friday) of mobilizing around 100,000 troops near the city of Pokrovsk, explaining that this buildup is preparing for offensive operations.
Zelensky told reporters: "There is a buildup and positioning of the enemy. Up to 100,000 soldiers, that’s what we have as of this morning. They are preparing for offensive operations in any case," adding that Ukrainian forces are working to counter Russian troops in the Sumy region on the northeastern border.
It is worth noting that the city of Pokrovsk is considered one of the main cities in eastern Ukraine, while Russia claims it is part of its territory.
In a related context, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov revealed earlier today the conditions set by Russian President Vladimir Putin for a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, confirming that Putin does not rule out holding the meeting provided it is well-prepared.
Pesko said to reporters: "I would like to remind you of President Putin's position; he does not rule out the possibility of holding such a meeting, but any high-level meeting must be well-prepared, and the necessary work must first be completed at the expert level."
At the same time, European leaders are considering establishing a buffer zone 40 kilometers deep along the Russian-Ukrainian front lines, along with allocating about 200 billion euros from frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war, as part of proposals for a potential peace agreement.
