أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية اليوم (الأربعاء)، أن القوات العاملة في خليج عُمان عطلت ناقلة ترفع العلم الإيراني كانت تحاول الإبحار باتجاه أحد الموانئ الإيرانية.
وقالت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، في بيان: «رصدت قواتنا الناقلة أثناء عبورها المياه الدولية في طريقها إلى ميناء إيراني على خليج عُمان»، موضحة أن القوات الأمريكية أصدرت عدة تحذيرات وأبلغت الناقلة الإيرانية بأنها تنتهك الحصار الأمريكي.
تعطيل الناقلة
وأضافت: «بعد عدم امتثال الناقلة للتحذيرات المتكررة، عطلت القوات الأمريكية دفة الناقلة بإطلاق عدة طلقات من مدفع مقاتلة من طراز (إف.إيه-18 سوبر هورنت) من حاملة الطائرات أبراهام لينكولن»، مبينة أن الناقلة التي لم تكن محملة بالخام لم تعد متجهة إلى إيران الآن.
جاء ذلك في الوقت الذي قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إن الأمور تسير بسلاسة كبيرة مع إيران، مؤكداً أن طهران تريد إبرام اتفاق وتريد التفاوض.
رفض امتلاك إيران النووي
وقال ترمب خلال كلمة في البيت الأبيض: «نحن نحقق نجاحاً كبيراً جداً في إيران»، مبيناً أن الإدارة الأمريكية تراقب تطورات المفاوضات الجارية مع طهران.
وجدد ترمب التأكيد على رفض الولايات المتحدة امتلاك إيران سلاحاً نووياً، قائلاً: «لن نسمح لإيران بامتلاك سلاح نووي، لن نسمح بحدوث ذلك»، لافتاً إلى أن الولايات المتحدة ستحدد ما إذا كان الاتفاق المحتمل مرضياً لها.
وأشار ترمب إلى أن «الوضع تحت السيطرة إلى حد كبير والحصار لا يُصدق، والبحرية كانت مذهلة، إنه مثل جدار من الفولاذ، لا أحد يمر».
تنسيق أمريكي إسرائيلي
من جهة أخرى، قال رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو إنه سيتحدث إلى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، مساء اليوم، مبيناً أن هناك تنسيقاً كاملاً مع الولايات المتحدة حول إيران ولا توجد مفاجآت، مبيناً أن ترمب يرى أنه قادر على تحقيق أهدافه في إيران بطريقة أو بأخرى «لكننا مستعدون لكل السيناريوهات».
وأضاف نتنياهو: «لدينا أهداف مشتركة، وأهمها إزالة كل اليورانيوم المخصب من إيران، وتفكيك قدراتها على التخصيب».
The U.S. Central Command announced today (Wednesday) that forces operating in the Gulf of Oman disabled an Iranian-flagged tanker that was attempting to sail towards one of the Iranian ports.
The U.S. Central Command stated in a statement: “Our forces spotted the tanker while it was crossing international waters on its way to an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman,” explaining that U.S. forces issued several warnings and informed the Iranian tanker that it was violating the U.S. blockade.
Disabling the tanker
It added: “After the tanker failed to comply with repeated warnings, U.S. forces disabled the tanker’s steering by firing several shots from an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet from the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln,” noting that the tanker, which was not loaded with crude oil, is no longer heading to Iran now.
This came at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump stated that things are going very smoothly with Iran, confirming that Tehran wants to reach an agreement and wants to negotiate.
Rejection of Iran's nuclear possession
Trump said during a speech at the White House: “We are having tremendous success in Iran,” indicating that the U.S. administration is monitoring the developments of the ongoing negotiations with Tehran.
Trump reiterated the U.S. rejection of Iran possessing nuclear weapons, stating: “We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, we will not allow that to happen,” pointing out that the United States will determine whether the potential agreement is satisfactory to it.
He noted that “the situation is largely under control and the blockade is incredible, the navy has been amazing, it’s like a wall of steel, no one passes.”
U.S.-Israeli coordination
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he will speak with U.S. President Donald Trump this evening, indicating that there is complete coordination with the United States regarding Iran and there are no surprises, noting that Trump believes he can achieve his goals in Iran one way or another “but we are prepared for all scenarios.”
Netanyahu added: “We have common goals, the most important of which is to remove all enriched uranium from Iran and dismantle its enrichment capabilities.”
