فيما أكدت مصادر فلسطينية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، شن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي غارات عنيفة جواً وبراً على قطاع غزة، وقتل عدد من الفلسطينيين بينهم أطفال في حي الدرج وخان يونس، أعلنت إسرائيل قتل رئيس جهاز الأمن العام لحركة حماس محمود الأسود في منطقة غرب القطاع.
زعم جيش الاحتلال أن الأسود كان مصدراً مهماً للمعلومات لحركة حماس وشخصية رئيسية، مبيناً أن قواته تعمل في ضواحي مدينة غزة وفي خان يونس لتحديد وتفكيك مواقع فوق الأرض وتحتها.
في الوقت ذاته، ذكرت مصادر طبية في غزة أن 21 فلسطينياً قتلوا بنيران جيش الاحتلال منذ فجر اليوم، بينهم 4 من منتظري المساعدات.
وقال شهود عيان إن غارات إسرائيلية دمرت منزلين في منطقة أبو اسكندر بحي الشيخ رضوان شمالي القطاع، فيما أعلنت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية في غزة، ارتفاع حصيلة ضحايا «التجويع» والحصار الإسرائيلي، على القطاع إلى 313 فلسطينياً، بينهم 119 طفلاً، بعد وفاة 10 أشخاص بسبب سوء التغذية خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية.
من جهة أخرى، اقتحمت القوات الإسرائيلية اليوم، مدينة نابلس في الضفة الغربية، وحاصرت بلدتها القديمة واعتقلت العديد من الفلسطينيين، وأخلت منازل عدة.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية «وفا» عن مصادر محلية وأمنية، أن القوات الإسرائيلية اقتحمت المدينة بعشرات الآليات العسكرية، وتمركزت في وسطها، وفرضت حصاراً على بلدتها القديمة، وشرعت بمداهمة المنازل، وأجبرت عائلات عدة بإخلاء منازلها في حي القصبة، وبحسب الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني فإن 25 فلسطينياً أصيبوا إثر إطلاق الاحتلال قنابل الغاز السام خلال الاقتحام المتواصل لنابلس.
في غضون ذلك، ذكر مكتب الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان أن 982 فلسطينياً بالضفة قتلوا على أيدي الاحتلال والمستوطنين منذ أكتوبر 2023، موضحاً أن أكثر من 42 ألفاً شردوا إثر هدم المنازل وهجمات المستوطنين.
Palestinian sources confirmed today (Wednesday) that the Israeli occupation army launched intense air and ground raids on the Gaza Strip, killing a number of Palestinians, including children, in the al-Daraj neighborhood and Khan Younis. Israel announced the killing of Mahmoud Al-Aswad, the head of Hamas's General Security, in the western part of the sector.
The occupation army claimed that Al-Aswad was an important source of information for Hamas and a key figure, stating that its forces are operating in the suburbs of Gaza City and Khan Younis to identify and dismantle sites above and below ground.
At the same time, medical sources in Gaza reported that 21 Palestinians have been killed by the occupation army's fire since dawn today, including 4 aid recipients.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli airstrikes destroyed two houses in the Abu Iskandar area of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the northern sector, while the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the "starvation" and Israeli siege on the sector has risen to 313 Palestinians, including 119 children, after 10 people died from malnutrition in the past 24 hours.
On another front, Israeli forces stormed the city of Nablus in the West Bank today, besieging its old town and arresting several Palestinians, while evacuating several homes.
The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported from local and security sources that Israeli forces stormed the city with dozens of military vehicles, positioned themselves in its center, imposed a siege on its old town, began raiding homes, and forced several families to evacuate their homes in the al-Qusbah neighborhood. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, 25 Palestinians were injured as a result of the occupation firing toxic gas canisters during the ongoing incursion into Nablus.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Office for Human Rights reported that 982 Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed by the occupation and settlers since October 2023, noting that more than 42,000 have been displaced due to home demolitions and settler attacks.
