نفى وزير الخارجية الروسي، سيرغي لافرف، أن تكون قمة ألاسكا التي عقدت الأسبوع الماضي بين الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد بحثت عقد لقاء مع الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، موضحاً أن هذه المسألة تمت إثارتها لاحقاً.
وقال لافروف في مقابلة مع قناة «إن بي سي نيوز» اليوم (الأحد): تم الترويج لهذه الشائعات بشكل رئيسي من قِبل زيلينسكي نفسه ورعاته الأوروبيين، مضيفاً: هذه القضية لم تناقش في أنكوريج، بل طُرح الموضوع لاحقاً، عقب اجتماع في واشنطن بين الرئيس الأمريكي وضيوفه الأوروبيين.
وأشار إلى أنه بعد هذا الاجتماع، قال بوتين بوضوح في محادثة هاتفية مع ترمب، إن موسكو مستعدة لمواصلة المفاوضات المباشرة التي بدأت في إسطنبول، موضحاً أن بوتين أشار إلى عقد ثلاث جولات سابقة بالفعل.
وشدد لافروف على ضرورة التخطيط الجيد للاجتماعات رفيعة المستوى، قائلاً: «من الضروري وجود عملية تحضيرية متفق عليها بين الطرفين قبل اللقاء».
وأضاف: لتحقيق ذلك، اقترحنا رفع مستوى الوفود التي اجتمعت وستجتمع في إسطنبول لمناقشة قضايا محددة يجب عرضها على الرئيسين بوتين وزيلينسكي، مؤكداً أن هذه القضايا ذات طابع إنساني وعسكري وسياسي.
ميدانياً، قال مسؤولون روس اليوم إن هجمات أوكرانية بطائرات مسيّرة خلال الليل على عدد من منشآت الطاقة الروسية أدت إلى خفض الطاقة في محطة «كورسك» للطاقة النووية، وأشعلت النيران في محطة لتصدير الوقود في ميناء «أوست لوجا».
وذكر المكتب الصحفي للمحطة النووية أن الهجوم تسبب في انخفاض القدرة التشغيلية للوحدة الثالثة بالمحطة بنسبة 50%، لكنه لم يوقع إصابات، وجرى إخماد الحريق، وأن الإشعاع في الموقع والمنطقة المحيطة به لم يتجاوز المستويات الطبيعية.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov denied that the Alaska summit held last week between President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump discussed holding a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, clarifying that this issue was raised later.
Lavrov said in an interview with NBC News today (Sunday): These rumors were mainly promoted by Zelensky himself and his European sponsors, adding: This issue was not discussed in Anchorage, but the topic was raised later, following a meeting in Washington between the American president and his European guests.
He pointed out that after this meeting, Putin clearly stated in a phone conversation with Trump that Moscow is ready to continue the direct negotiations that began in Istanbul, explaining that Putin referred to holding three previous rounds already.
Lavrov emphasized the need for good planning of high-level meetings, saying: "It is essential to have an agreed preparatory process between the two sides before the meeting."
He added: To achieve this, we proposed to elevate the level of the delegations that met and will meet in Istanbul to discuss specific issues that should be presented to Presidents Putin and Zelensky, stressing that these issues are of a humanitarian, military, and political nature.
On the ground, Russian officials said today that Ukrainian drone attacks overnight on several Russian energy facilities led to a reduction in power at the Kursk nuclear power plant and ignited a fire at a fuel export terminal in the Ost Luga port.
The press office of the nuclear plant stated that the attack caused a 50% reduction in the operational capacity of the third unit at the plant, but did not result in any injuries, and the fire was extinguished, with radiation levels at the site and surrounding area remaining within normal levels.
