أعلنت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لشؤون اللاجئين، عودة نحو 780 ألف سوري إلى وطنهم منذ سقوط نظام بشار الأسد في الـ8 من ديسمبر عام 2024.
وأفادت في تقرير حديث لها بأن أكثر من 1.6 مليون نازح داخلي عادوا إلى أماكن إقامتهم السابقة في سورية، وفق موقع «ريليف ويب» التابع لمكتب الأمم المتحدة لتنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية.
ولفتت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين إلى أنه حتى 14 أغسطس الجاري، عاد نحو 779,473 سورياً إلى بلادهم عبر الدول المجاورة منذ 8 ديسمبر 2024.
وخلال الفترة ذاتها، عاد نحو 1,694,418 نازحاً داخلياً إلى ديارهم في سورية.
وذكرت المفوضية أنه خلال الفترة بين 6 و12 أغسطس الجاري، تلقى 776 شخصاً مساعدات للعودة عبر نقاط معينة لعبور الحدود السورية، ليرتفع بذلك إجمالي عدد العائدين المستفيدين من هذه المساعدات منذ بداية عام 2025 إلى 13,179 شخصاً.
وكانت وزارة الداخلية التركية أعلنت الخميس الماضي أن 411,649 لاجئاً سورياً عادوا إلى بلادهم منذ سقوط نظام بشار الأسد مطلع ديسمبر الماضي.
وتسارعت وتيرة هذه العودة منذ بداية الصيف، وسُجِّل رجوع نحو 140 ألف لاجئ منذ منتصف شهر يونيو، بحسب أرقام صادرة عن مديرية الهجرة التركية.
وما يزال نحو 2.5 مليون لاجئ سوري يعيشون في تركيا، بحسب حصيلة رسمية مُحدَّثة في مطلع أغسطس الجاري.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced that nearly 780,000 Syrians have returned to their homeland since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024.
It reported in a recent document that more than 1.6 million internally displaced persons have returned to their previous places of residence in Syria, according to the "Relief Web" site affiliated with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The UN Refugee Agency pointed out that as of August 14, approximately 779,473 Syrians have returned to their country through neighboring countries since December 8, 2024.
During the same period, about 1,694,418 internally displaced persons returned to their homes in Syria.
The agency mentioned that between August 6 and 12, 776 individuals received return assistance through specific points for crossing the Syrian border, bringing the total number of returnees benefiting from this assistance since the beginning of 2025 to 13,179 individuals.
Last Thursday, the Turkish Ministry of Interior announced that 411,649 Syrian refugees have returned to their country since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in early December.
The pace of this return has accelerated since the beginning of summer, with approximately 140,000 refugees recorded as having returned since mid-June, according to figures released by the Turkish Directorate of Migration.
About 2.5 million Syrian refugees still live in Turkey, according to an updated official count at the beginning of August.
