توقعت الرئاسة الروسية (الكرملين) أن تستغرق القمة المرتقبة بين الرئيسين الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والأمريكي دونالد ترمب في ألاسكا لمناقشة النزاع في أوكرانيا من 6 إلى 7 ساعات على الأقل.
وقال المتحدث باسم الكرملين دميتري بيسكوف للتلفزيون الرسمي اليوم: «بشكل عام، يمكننا أن نتوقع أن الأمر سيستغرق 6 أو 7 ساعات على الأقل»، مضيفاً أن الزعيمين سيلتقيان بشكل فردي، قبل مفاوضات أوسع بين وفديهما، يليها مؤتمر صحفي مشترك.
ورجح بيسكوف عقد اجتماع ثلاثي يجمع فلاديمير بوتين ودونالد ترمب والرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي في وقت لاحق إذا تحققت نتائج خلال محادثات ألاسكا.
وكان ترمب قال من على متن الطائرة الرئاسية المتوجهة إلى ألاسكا إن بوتين «رجل ذكي جداً.. ونكن الاحترام لبعضنا البعض». وأعرب عن استعداده لمناقشة استئناف التعاون الاقتصادي بين أمريكا وروسيا في حال تحقيق تقدم بشأن أوكرانيا.
واستبعد الرئيس الأمريكي إمكانية انضمام أوكرانيا إلى حلف الناتو، لكنه رجح تقديم ضمانات أمنية أمريكية لها بالتعاون مع أوروبا. وألمح إلى إمكانية حصول تبادل للأراضي بين الروس والأوكرانيين لاحقاً، إلا أنه أكد أن الأمر متروك للجانب الأوكراني.
يذكر أن هذه القمة هي الأولى بين رئيسين أمريكي وروسي منذ أكثر من 4 أعوام.
ويحمل اللقاء، الذي من المقرر أن ينطلق في الساعة 11.30 صباحاً (19.30 بتوقيت غرينتش) في قاعدة إلمندورف - ديتشاردسون العسكرية في أنكوراج، أهمية بالغة بالنسبة لكييف وموسكو، فضلاً عن واشنطن وقادة الدول الأوروبية.

The Russian presidency (the Kremlin) expects that the upcoming summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American President Donald Trump in Alaska to discuss the conflict in Ukraine will take at least 6 to 7 hours.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told state television today: "In general, we can expect that it will take at least 6 or 7 hours," adding that the leaders will meet individually before broader negotiations between their delegations, followed by a joint press conference.
Peskov suggested that a trilateral meeting involving Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky might take place later if results are achieved during the Alaska talks.
Trump stated aboard Air Force One en route to Alaska that Putin is "a very smart man... and we respect each other." He expressed his willingness to discuss the resumption of economic cooperation between the U.S. and Russia if progress is made regarding Ukraine.
The American president ruled out the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO but suggested that American security guarantees could be offered to it in cooperation with Europe. He hinted at the possibility of a land exchange between Russians and Ukrainians later, but emphasized that the matter is up to the Ukrainian side.
It is worth noting that this summit is the first between an American and a Russian president in more than 4 years.
The meeting, which is scheduled to start at 11:30 AM (19:30 GMT) at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage, holds significant importance for Kyiv and Moscow, as well as for Washington and European leaders.
