أدانت مصر ما أُثير في بعض وسائل الإعلام من تصريحات إسرائيلية حول ما يسمى «إسرائيل الكبرى»، مؤكدة حرص القاهرة على إرساء السلام في الشرق الأوسط.
وطالبت مصر في بيان لوزارة خارجيتها أمس (الأربعاء) بإيضاحات لذلك، في ظل ما يعكسه هذا الأمر من إثارة لعدم الاستقرار، وتوجه رافض لتبنّي خيار السلام بالمنطقة، والإصرار على التصعيد، ويتعارض مع تطلعات الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية المحبة للسلام، والراغبة في تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار لجميع شعوب المنطقة.
وأكدت مصر أنه لا سبيل لتحقيق السلام إلا من خلال العودة إلى المفاوضات، وإنهاء الحرب على غزة، وصولاً لإقامة دولة فلسطينية على خطوط الرابع من يونيو 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، على أساس حلّ الدولتين، والقرارات الدولية ذات الصلة.
Egypt condemned the statements made by Israeli officials regarding what is referred to as "Greater Israel," emphasizing Cairo's commitment to establishing peace in the Middle East.
In a statement from its Foreign Ministry yesterday (Wednesday), Egypt called for clarifications on this matter, given what it reflects in terms of provoking instability, a rejection of adopting the option of peace in the region, and insistence on escalation, which contradicts the aspirations of regional and international parties that love peace and seek to achieve security and stability for all the peoples of the region.
Egypt affirmed that there is no way to achieve peace except through a return to negotiations, ending the war on Gaza, and establishing a Palestinian state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions.
