استقبل رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام، اليوم، المسؤول الإيراني علي لاريجاني في السرايا الحكومية في بيروت، إذ جرى البحث في العلاقات الثنائية والتطورات الإقليمية.
وخلال اللقاء، علّق سلام على التصريحات الأخيرة لبعض المسؤولين الإيرانيين، قائلاً: التصريحات الأخيرة لبعض المسؤولين الإيرانيين مرفوضة شكلاً ومضموناً، مضيفاً: لا أنا ولا أي من المسؤولين اللبنانيين نسمح لأنفسنا بالتدخل في الشؤون الداخلية الإيرانية، بناء عليه فإن لبنان لن يقبل التدخل في شؤونه الداخلية.
وتابع سلام: قرارات الحكومة اللبنانية لا يسمح أن تكون موضوع نقاش في أي دولة أخرى، مشدداً على أن الحكومة اللبنانية ماضية في استخدام كل الوسائل السياسية والدبلوماسية والقانونية المتاحة لإلزام إسرائيل بالانسحاب الفوري.
The Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, received the Iranian official Ali Larijani today at the governmental palace in Beirut, where they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the meeting, Salam commented on the recent statements made by some Iranian officials, saying: "The recent statements by some Iranian officials are rejected both in form and content," adding: "Neither I nor any of the Lebanese officials allow ourselves to interfere in Iranian internal affairs; accordingly, Lebanon will not accept interference in its internal matters."
Salam continued: "Decisions of the Lebanese government should not be a subject of discussion in any other country," emphasizing that the Lebanese government is committed to using all available political, diplomatic, and legal means to compel Israel to withdraw immediately.
