أعلنت غرفة طوارئ مخيم أبو شوك السوداني اليوم (الإثنين) مقتل 40 شخصاً على الأقل في هجوم لقوات الدعم السريع على المخيم الواقع في ضواحي مدينة الفاشر بإقليم دارفور في غرب السودان، مؤكدة إصابة أكثر من 19 آخرين.
وأوضحت الغرفة أن قوات الدعم السريع توغلت داخل مخيم أبو شوك من الناحية الشمالية من الفاشر وارتكبت مجزرة.
وتعيش مدينة الفاشر واقعاً مؤلماً جراء الجوع الحاد الذي تسبب في وفاة العشرات، فضلاً عن التوترات والمناوشات المدفعية المتقطعة المتواصلة بين الجيش السوداني وقوات الدعم السريع التي تواصل بالمدفعية والطيران المسيّر استهداف المخيم ومقر الفرقة السادسة مشاة للجيش ومحيطه، والأحياء السكنية المتاخمة.
وسيطرت قوات الدعم السريع في أبريل 2024 على مخيم زمزم للنازحين، الواقع على مقربة من أبو شوك وتحاصر حالياً مخيمات اللاجئين المحيطة بها.
وأجبر الهجوم على مدينة الفاشر حوالى 400 ألف شخص على الفرار، ما أدى عملياً إلى إفراغ أحد أكبر مخيمات البلاد للنازحين.
The emergency room of the Abu Shouk camp in Sudan announced today (Monday) that at least 40 people were killed in an attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the camp located on the outskirts of the city of El Fasher in the Darfur region of western Sudan, confirming that more than 19 others were injured.
The room clarified that the Rapid Support Forces advanced into the Abu Shouk camp from the northern side of El Fasher and committed a massacre.
The city of El Fasher is experiencing a painful reality due to severe hunger that has caused the deaths of dozens, in addition to ongoing tensions and intermittent artillery skirmishes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, which continue to target the camp and the headquarters of the sixth infantry division of the army and its surroundings, as well as the adjacent residential neighborhoods with artillery and drones.
In April 2024, the Rapid Support Forces took control of the Zamzam camp for displaced persons, located near Abu Shouk, and are currently besieging the surrounding refugee camps.
The attack on the city of El Fasher forced about 400,000 people to flee, effectively emptying one of the largest displacement camps in the country.
