توقّفت منظومة الكهرباء في وسط وجنوب العراق اليوم (الأحد)؛ مما أدى إلى انقطاعٍ تام للتيار الكهربائي.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام عراقية أن السبب يعود إلى خلل في خطوط النقل والأحمال الثقيلة، مما أدى إلى إطفاء كامل للمنظومة الكهربائية، ومبينة إن محطات الكهرباء في محافظات البصرة وميسان وواسط وكركوك، إضافة إلى محافظات أخرى، خرجت عن العمل.
ونقلت وسائل إعلامية عراقية عن مصدر في الكهرباء قوله الجهود مستمرة؛ لإعادة تشغيل المحطات تدريجياً واستعادة التيار الكهربائي في المناطق المتضررة.
ويأتي انقطاع التيار الكهربائي الواسع في العراق بعد ساعات قليلة من تصريحات لرئيس الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني أكد فيها مواصلة تطوير إنتاج الكهرباء والمضي في بناء شراكات لتأمين الغاز للمحطات.
وافتتح السوداني، اليوم، الوحدة الغازية التوربينية (13) في محطة بسماية الغازية الاستثمارية لإنتاج الطاقة الكهربائية، التي ستضيف 300 ميغاواط إلى إنتاج المحطة، كما افتتح الوحدات التي خضعت لأعمال الصيانة والتجديد، إذ جرى استرجاع قدرة إنتاجية بحدود 210 ميغاواط، ليرتفع مستوى الإنتاج الكلي للمحطة إلى 5,000 ميغاواط.
وكانت وزارة الكهرباء العراقية قد أعلنت أخيراً تسجيل مستويات إنتاج الطاقة الكهربائية في العراق رقماً قياسياً غير مسبوق في البلاد عندما تجاوزت معدلات الإنتاج سقف 28 ألف ميغاواط، مبينة إن العراق وقع اتفاقيات مع شركة جنرال إلكتريك لإنشاء محطات كهربائية بطاقة 24 ألف ميغاواط، ومع شركة سيمنس بطاقة 14 ألف ميغاواط، ومن المقرر توقيع اتفاقية مع شركة شنغهاي بطاقة 10 آلاف ميغاواط.
وبدأ العراق تنفيذ خطة واسعة النطاق لإنتاج 12 ألف ميغاواط من الطاقة الكهربائية باستخدام الطاقة المتجددة ضمن مشروع حكومي للتوجه نحو الطاقة النظيفة.
The electricity system in central and southern Iraq stopped today (Sunday), leading to a complete power outage.
Iraqi media reported that the reason is due to a malfunction in the transmission lines and heavy loads, which resulted in a total shutdown of the electrical system, indicating that power plants in the provinces of Basra, Maysan, Wasit, and Kirkuk, in addition to other provinces, went offline.
Iraqi media quoted a source in the electricity sector as saying that efforts are ongoing to gradually restart the plants and restore electricity in the affected areas.
The widespread power outage in Iraq comes just hours after statements from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, in which he confirmed the continuation of efforts to develop electricity production and move forward in building partnerships to secure gas for the plants.
Al-Sudani inaugurated today the gas turbine unit (13) at the Bismayah gas investment power plant, which will add 300 megawatts to the plant's production. He also opened units that underwent maintenance and renovation, recovering a production capacity of about 210 megawatts, raising the total production level of the plant to 5,000 megawatts.
The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity recently announced that electricity production levels in Iraq reached an unprecedented record in the country when production rates exceeded 28,000 megawatts. It indicated that Iraq signed agreements with General Electric to establish power plants with a capacity of 24,000 megawatts, and with Siemens for 14,000 megawatts, with plans to sign an agreement with Shanghai for 10,000 megawatts.
Iraq has begun implementing a large-scale plan to produce 12,000 megawatts of electricity using renewable energy as part of a government project aimed at transitioning to clean energy.
