أعلنت وزارة الدفاع الكورية الجنوبية أنها ستزيل مكبرات الصوت التي تبث دعاية مناهضة لكوريا الشمالية على طول حدود البلاد اعتبارا من اليوم (الإثنين)، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «يونهاب».
وقالت وزارة الدفاع الكورية الجنوبية إن «الجيش بدأ في تفكيك مكبرات الصوت المخصصة للبث الدعائي تجاه بيونغ يانغ على طول الحدود».
وأوضحت سيول أن هذه الخطوة تأتي في إطار إجراءات عملية لتخفيف التوترات بين الكوريتين دون التأثير على جاهزية الجيش.
ويبلغ عدد مكبرات الصوت الثابتة التي من المقرر تفكيكها نحو 20 وحدة، ومن المتوقع استكمال تفكيكها في غضون يومين أو ثلاثة أيام.
وفي يونيو، أمر الرئيس الكوري الجنوبي لي جيه ميونغ بتعليق البث الدعائي عبر مكبرات الصوت تجاه الشمال لتخفيف التوترات وإعادة بناء الثقة.
وردا على ذلك، أوقفت كوريا الشمالية بثّها للضوضاء الصاخبة التي تستهدف الجنوب.
The South Korean Ministry of Defense announced that it will remove loudspeakers that broadcast anti-North Korean propaganda along the country's borders starting today (Monday), according to the Yonhap news agency.
The South Korean Ministry of Defense stated that "the military has begun dismantling the loudspeakers designated for propaganda broadcasts targeting Pyongyang along the border."
Seoul clarified that this step is part of practical measures to ease tensions between the two Koreas without affecting the military's readiness.
There are about 20 fixed loudspeakers scheduled to be dismantled, and it is expected that the dismantling will be completed within two to three days.
In June, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol ordered the suspension of propaganda broadcasts via loudspeakers towards the North to reduce tensions and rebuild trust.
In response, North Korea halted its noisy broadcasts targeting the South.
