The Federal Security Service of Russia revealed today (Saturday) that Russia received information from America about a terrorist attack in Moscow.
The Russian news agency "TASS" reported that the Federal Security Service stated it received information from the United States through approved partner channels about preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow, and that it is taking appropriate measures.
The American embassy in Moscow mentioned in a statement that it is "aware of a credible threat of an incident that could result in a large number of casualties at the Tsaritsyno Museum in Moscow today," adding: the U.S. government is coordinating with Russian authorities.
The agency reported that Russian law enforcement decided to temporarily close the Tsaritsyno Reserve and Museum, which is a complex that includes a palace turned into a museum and a park in southern Moscow, and imposed restrictions on access to the park.
In March 2024, the American embassy warned that extremists intended to carry out an imminent attack in Moscow, and days later, gunmen attacked the Crocus City Hall concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow, resulting in the deaths of more than 140 people.
