أعلن مشروع مسام لنزع الألغام في اليمن، اليوم (الأحد)، انتزاع 4852 لغماً وذخيرة غير منفجرة وعبوة ناسفة، خلال الفترة منذ مطلع شهر يوليو الماضي وحتى يوم 25 من الشهر نفسه، وذلك ضمن جهود متواصلة للحد من خطر المتفجرات على المدنيين، مؤكداً في بيان صادر عن غرفة عملياته، أنه نجح الأسبوع الماضي في انتزاع 1151 مادة متفجرة، من بينها 1093 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و49 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات خلال الأسبوع الماضي.
وأوضح البيان الصادر عن المكتب الإعلامي للمشروع أن مؤشرات التهديد مستمرة، وتمثل هذه المخلفات خطراً كبيراً على السكان، مبيناً أن الفرق استطاعت منذ مطلع الشهر الماضي تطهير 723609 أمتار مربعة من الأراضي اليمنية، بما يسهم في تأمين مناطق سكنية وزراعية كانت مهددة بالخطر.
وأفاد البيان أن المشروع تمكن منذ انطلاقته وحتى 25 يوليو 2025 من نزع 345554 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و8250 عبوة ناسفة، في إطار عمليات إنسانية تهدف إلى حماية الأرواح وفتح المجال أمام التنمية والعودة الآمنة للنازحين، مؤكداً أنه يواصل منذ سنوات عمله في مناطق مختلفة من اليمن، في ظل تزايد عدد الضحايا المدنيين جراء انفجار الألغام والذخائر المنتشرة في مناطق النزاع.
وقال مدير عام مشروع «مسام» أسامة القصيبي إن فرق المشروع تمكنت منذ انطلاقته وحتى يوم 25 يوليو الماضي من نزع 507588 مادة متفجرة، شملت ألغاماً وذخائر غير منفجرة وعبوات ناسفة، موضحاً أن المواد التي تم التعامل معها تضمنت 345554 ذخيرة غير منفجرة، و8250 عبوة ناسفة، إضافة إلى 146957 لغماً مضاداً للدبابات و6827 لغماً مضاداً للأفراد.
ولفت إلى أن هذه الجهود تأتي في إطار العمل الإنساني الذي ينفذه مشروع مسام السعودي، بهدف حماية الأرواح وإعادة الحياة إلى المناطق المتضررة من الألغام، التي تُعد من أكبر التهديدات التي تواجه المدنيين في اليمن.
وأشار إلى أن الفرق الهندسية التابعة للمشروع تمكنت منذ انطلاقه وحتى 25 يوليو الماضي من تطهير أكثر من 68694881 متراً مربعاً من الأراضي اليمنية، مؤكداً أن العمل مستمر لتأمين المزيد من المناطق، وفتح المجال أمام الزراعة، والسكن، والتنمية.
ويُعد مشروع «مسام» من المبادرات الرائدة في مجال نزع الألغام، إذ ينشط في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية المتأثرة بالصراع، وسط إشادات دولية متكررة بجهوده الإنسانية.

The Masam project for mine clearance in Yemen announced today (Sunday) that it has removed 4,852 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices from the beginning of July until the 25th of the same month, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce the threat of explosives to civilians. It confirmed in a statement issued by its operations room that it successfully removed 1,151 explosive materials last week, including 1,093 unexploded ordnance and 49 anti-tank mines during the past week.
The statement issued by the project's media office clarified that threat indicators remain high, and these remnants pose a significant danger to the population. It indicated that teams have managed to clear 723,609 square meters of Yemeni land since the beginning of last month, contributing to securing residential and agricultural areas that were under threat.
The statement reported that the project has managed to remove 345,554 unexploded ordnance and 8,250 explosive devices since its launch until July 25, 2025, as part of humanitarian operations aimed at protecting lives and facilitating development and the safe return of displaced persons. It emphasized that it has been continuously working in various regions of Yemen for years, amidst an increasing number of civilian casualties due to the explosion of mines and munitions scattered in conflict areas.
The Director General of the Masam project, Osama Al-Qusaybi, stated that the project teams have managed to remove 507,588 explosive materials since its inception until July 25, including mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices. He explained that the materials dealt with included 345,554 unexploded ordnance, 8,250 explosive devices, in addition to 146,957 anti-tank mines and 6,827 anti-personnel mines.
He pointed out that these efforts are part of the humanitarian work carried out by the Saudi Masam project, aimed at protecting lives and restoring life to areas affected by mines, which are considered one of the greatest threats facing civilians in Yemen.
He noted that the engineering teams affiliated with the project have managed to clear more than 68,694,881 square meters of Yemeni land since its launch until July 25, confirming that work continues to secure more areas and open the way for agriculture, housing, and development.
The Masam project is considered one of the leading initiatives in the field of mine clearance, actively operating in various Yemeni governorates affected by the conflict, amidst repeated international praise for its humanitarian efforts.
