إيران: 8 قتلى في هجوم على محكمة في زاهدان

Five people were killed in an attack on a courthouse in Zahedan, Iran, and the Fars News Agency confirmed that three of the attackers were killed today (Saturday).

A number of gunmen attacked the courthouse building in Sistan and Baluchestan province located on "Azadi" Street in the city of Zahedan, according to the "Hal‌ وَش" website, which covers news from Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers stormed the building and rushed directly towards the judges' offices, resulting in the death and injury of several court employees and security personnel.

According to initial reports, the attackers headed towards various offices and rooms belonging to the judges and opened fire inside.

Informed sources confirmed that the attack resulted in human and material damage that has not yet been disclosed, while the precise details of the extent of the losses are still being monitored.

According to the Tasnim Iranian News Agency, "the terrorist group 'Army of Oppression' claimed responsibility for this attack," referring to a group that calls itself "Army of Justice."

In the aftermath of the attack, security forces and emergency units quickly arrived at the scene, imposed a tight security cordon around the area, and began intensive search and pursuit operations to locate and apprehend the attackers.

Reports from within the city indicate heightened security measures around the courthouse and strict monitoring of movement in the area.
