أكد رئيس الوزراء اليمني الدكتور سالم بن بريك أن الحكومة تولي محافظة سقطرى أهمية خاصة لما تمثله من قيمة بيئية وإنسانية وسياحية فريدة، لافتاً إلى حرص حكومته على النهوض بواقع الخدمات في سقطرى، ودعم جهود السلطة المحلية في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
وناقش رئيس مجلس الوزراء سالم صالح بن بريك، خلال لقائه اليوم في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن، محافظ أرخبيل سقطرى رأفت الثقلي، الأوضاع العامة في المحافظة واحتياجاتها الخدمية والتنموية، وجهود تعزيز حضور مؤسسات الدولة، وتحسين مستوى الخدمات الأساسية المقدّمة للمواطنين.
واستمع من المحافظ الثقلي إلى شرح مفصل حول مستوى تنفيذ المشاريع في الجوانب الخدمية والتنموية، وأبرز التحديات التي تواجه السلطة المحلية، والجهود المبذولة لتحسين واستقرار الخدمات الأساسية، وأوضاع المواطنين في أرخبيل سقطرى.
من جانبه، ثمّن محافظ سقطرى اهتمام دولة رئيس الوزراء ودعمه للسلطة المحلية في معالجة الصعوبات وتعزيز التنمية.
The Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Salem bin Breik confirmed that the government places special importance on Socotra Governorate due to its unique environmental, humanitarian, and tourist value, noting his government's commitment to improving the reality of services in Socotra and supporting the local authority's efforts to enhance security and stability and achieve sustainable development.
During his meeting today in the temporary capital, Aden, Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Breik discussed the general situation in the governorate and its service and development needs with the Governor of Socotra Archipelago, Raafat Al-Thuqali, as well as efforts to strengthen the presence of state institutions and improve the level of basic services provided to citizens.
He listened to a detailed explanation from Governor Al-Thuqali about the level of project implementation in service and development aspects, the main challenges facing the local authority, the efforts made to improve and stabilize basic services, and the conditions of citizens in the Socotra Archipelago.
For his part, the Governor of Socotra appreciated the Prime Minister's attention and support for the local authority in addressing difficulties and enhancing development.
