According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the ministry confirmed that the casualty figures are preliminary.
Idlib Health Director Samer Arabi stated that the residential camp gatherings surrounding the site were affected by the explosion, leading to a large number of injuries. He indicated that the victims were distributed across several health centers in the area, with 71 at Maaret Misrin Hospital, 26 injured at Idlib University Hospital, 6 others at the Clinics Hospital, and 3 at Al-Shifa Hospital.
For its part, the Syrian Civil Defense organization reported that 6 of its technical staff working at its sewing facility were injured due to the explosion. According to Syrian television, the explosion was caused by remnants of war and munitions within a weapons depot in rural Idlib.
