أعلنت هيئة الشرطة الأوروبية «يوروبول»، اليوم (الخميس)، تفكيك شبكة تهريب مخدرات دولية في عملية مشتركة بين السلطات البلجيكية والهولندية والبريطانية.
وأسفرت العملية عن اعتقال 7 أشخاص ومصادرة 5 ملايين يورو (ما يعادل 5.8 مليون دولار) من الأموال المرتبطة بالشبكة.
وكشفت «يوروبول» أن الشبكة كانت تتاجر بشكل رئيسي في مادة الكيتامين، إلى جانب مخدرات أخرى مثل الكوكايين والهيروين، مستخدمة أساليب متطورة لتهريب المخدرات عبر أوروبا.
وشملت هذه الأساليب إخفاء المخدرات في شاحنات ضمن حمولات سطحية وفي طرود بريدية تم اعتراضها في بلجيكا.
وخلال العملية، تم تفتيش 9 منازل في بلجيكا، إلى جانب منزلين آخرين في بريطانيا وهولندا.
وأوضحت «يوروبول» أن الشبكة لم تقتصر عملياتها على غرب أوروبا، بل امتدت إلى مناطق متعددة حول العالم، مما يبرز مدى تعقيد وتنظيم هذه العصابة الإجرامية.
The European police agency "Europol" announced today (Thursday) the dismantling of an international drug trafficking network in a joint operation between Belgian, Dutch, and British authorities.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 7 individuals and the seizure of 5 million euros (equivalent to 5.8 million dollars) in funds linked to the network.
Europol revealed that the network primarily traded in ketamine, along with other drugs such as cocaine and heroin, using sophisticated methods to smuggle drugs across Europe.
These methods included hiding drugs in trucks within surface cargo and in postal parcels intercepted in Belgium.
During the operation, 9 homes were searched in Belgium, along with two other homes in Britain and the Netherlands.
Europol clarified that the network's operations were not limited to Western Europe but extended to multiple regions around the world, highlighting the complexity and organization of this criminal gang.
