في خطوة غير مسبوقة تهز المشهد السياسي الأمريكي، أعلن الملياردير إيلون ماسك، اليوم (السبت)، تأسيس حزب سياسي جديد تحت اسم «حزب أمريكا»، كاشفاً عن نواياه لمنافسة النظام الحزبي التقليدي في الولايات المتحدة، والمكوّن من الحزبين الجمهوري والديمقراطي.
وجاء إعلان ماسك عبر منصة «إكس»، حيث قال: «بنسبة اثنين إلى واحد، تريدون حزباً سياسياً جديداً... وستحصلون عليه!»، مضيفاً: «اليوم، تأسس حزب أمريكا ليعيد لكم حريتكم».
ويأتي الإعلان بعد يوم واحد فقط من طرحه استطلاعاً للرأي على متابعيه، تزامناً مع احتفالات عيد الاستقلال الأمريكي، سألهم فيه: «هل ترغبون في تأسيس حزب ثالث باسم حزب أمريكا؟» وأظهرت النتائج أن نحو 65% من المشاركين (1.25 مليون صوت) أيدوا الفكرة، ما شجعه على تحويلها إلى واقع سياسي.
وأكد ماسك أن خطته لتأسيس الحزب الجديد ستركز في البداية على مقاعد محدودة في الكونغرس، منها مقعدان أو ثلاثة في مجلس الشيوخ، وما بين 8 إلى 10 دوائر انتخابية في مجلس النواب، بهدف إحداث اختراق تدريجي ومدروس في المشهد السياسي.
ويأتي هذا التحرك السياسي في ظل توتر العلاقة بين ماسك والرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، بعدما كانا حليفين خلال الانتخابات السابقة، إذ دعم ماسك حملة ترمب بـ277 مليون دولار، وتقلّد بعدها منصباً فخرياً في «وزارة الكفاءات الحكومية». لكن تمرير قانون خفض الضرائب والإنفاق فجّر الخلاف بين الطرفين، وأشعل صداماً علنياً انتهى بتباعدهما سياسياً.
In an unprecedented move that shakes the American political scene, billionaire Elon Musk announced today (Saturday) the establishment of a new political party called the "America Party," revealing his intentions to compete with the traditional party system in the United States, which consists of the Republican and Democratic parties.
The announcement came via the "X" platform, where he said, "Two to one, you want a new political party... and you will get it!" adding, "Today, the America Party has been established to restore your freedom."
This announcement follows just one day after he conducted a poll among his followers, coinciding with the celebrations of American Independence Day, asking them, "Do you want to establish a third party called the America Party?" The results showed that about 65% of participants (1.25 million votes) supported the idea, encouraging him to turn it into a political reality.
Musk confirmed that his plan for establishing the new party will initially focus on a limited number of seats in Congress, including two or three seats in the Senate and between 8 to 10 electoral districts in the House of Representatives, aiming to create a gradual and studied breakthrough in the political landscape.
This political move comes amid rising tensions between Musk and American President Donald Trump, after they were allies during the previous elections, as Musk supported Trump's campaign with $277 million and later held an honorary position in the "Department of Government Competencies." However, the passage of the tax and spending reduction law sparked a disagreement between the two, leading to a public clash that resulted in their political estrangement.
