أعلنت شرطة العاصمة الإيرانية، مساء (الأربعاء)، اعتقال شخص مشتبه به بالتجسس داخل مترو طهران، بعد رصده من قبل عناصر الشرطة خلال تحركاته المريبة.
وأوضحت شرطة مترو طهران أنها اشتبهت بشخص كان يتنقل داخل المترو، فتم اعتقاله فوراً، ومن خلال فحص معداته التقنية وهاتفه المحمول تم الكشف عن معلومات مهمة.
وقال المتحدث باسم الشرطة الجنرال منتظر المهدي إن الجاسوس كان يستخدم شريحة إلكترونية لتسجيل مواقع عسكرية وأمنية حساسة، وكان يرسل الإحداثيات إلى جهات مجهولة، ويستقبل تعليمات باللغة العبرية.
وأضاف الجنرال المهدي: «تمت مصادرة أجهزته الإلكترونية، بما فيها الهاتف المحمول، وأُحيل المشتبه به إلى الجهات القضائية المختصة بعد تسليمه لفرق التحقيق الفني المتخصصة».
وأكد المتحدث باسم الشرطة أن «يقظة عناصر الشرطة حالت دون تسرب معلومات حساسة، في ظل التوترات الأمنية التي تشهدها البلاد».
The Iranian capital's police announced on Wednesday evening the arrest of a suspect in espionage inside the Tehran Metro, after he was spotted by police officers during his suspicious movements.
The Tehran Metro police clarified that they suspected an individual who was moving around inside the metro, and he was immediately arrested. Through an examination of his technical equipment and mobile phone, important information was revealed.
Police spokesperson General Montazer Al-Mahdi stated that the spy was using an electronic chip to record sensitive military and security locations, sending the coordinates to unknown entities, and receiving instructions in Hebrew.
General Al-Mahdi added: "His electronic devices, including the mobile phone, were confiscated, and the suspect was referred to the relevant judicial authorities after being handed over to specialized technical investigation teams."
The police spokesperson confirmed that "the vigilance of police officers prevented the leakage of sensitive information amid the security tensions the country is experiencing."
