أعلن نائب الرئيس الأمريكي، جيه دي فانس، أن التقرير الاستخباري السري الأمريكي الذي أثار شكوكاً حول فعالية الضربات التي نفذتها الولايات المتحدة على 3 مواقع نووية رئيسية في إيران بأنه «منخفض الثقة وغير مكتمل»، مؤكداً أنه لا يمثل حتى جزء من الحقيقة.
وقال فانس في منشور على حسابه في «إكس»: باختصار، سُرّب إلى وسائل الإعلام بشكل انتقائي تقرير استخباراتي خارج عن سياقه، ومنخفض الثقة، وغير مكتمل، موضحاً بأن وسائل الإعلام نشرت النتائج من دون أي جهد حقيقي لمعرفة ما إذا كانت تمثل جزءاً من الحقيقة.
وأشار إلى أن الطريقة التي عرضت بها وسائل الإعلام التقرير تتناقض مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، والإيرانيين أنفسهم، والقيادة السياسية والدفاعية للإدارة. والأهم من ذلك، أن تقارير وسائل الإعلام تتناقض مع المنطق السليم، مضيفاً: باختصار: أُلقيت 12 قنبلة خارقة للتحصينات، وزن كل منها 30 ألف رطل، على الموقع النووي الإيراني الرئيسي، كما تعرض الموقعان الآخران المستهدفان لأضرار جسيمة، لا أحد يجادل في أنها أصابت أهدافها، ولا أحد يجادل في القوة التفجيرية أو التدميرية للأسلحة، ولا أحد يجادل في أنه قبل أسبوع، كان بإمكان إيران تجميع سلاح نووي بسهولة، والآن لا تستطيع ذلك.
ولفت إلى أن النقاش برمته - حتى مع قبول التأطير الإعلامي غير النزيه - لا يدور حول ما إذا كانت إيران قادرة الآن على بناء سلاح نووي، فهم لا يستطيعون، بل يدور حول مدى إعادة البناء التي يتعين على الإيرانيين القيام بها للحصول على سلاح نووي، بعبارة أخرى، بعد عملية عسكرية ناجحة للغاية من دون خسائر أمريكية، تحاول وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية إلقاء اللوم على دونالد ترمب لوجود منشآت لم تُبنَ بعد.
وذكر دي فانس أنه بصرف النظر عن استعداد إيران لإعادة بناء برنامجها. وكما قال الرئيس نفسه، فهم يدركون الآن أن لإعادة البناء عواقب وخيمة. كما أدركوا أننا نستطيع بسهولة عرقلة تقدمهم، محذراً من الصحفيين الذين يروجون لأفكار زائفة من صغار الموظفين في أجهزة الاستخبارات.
وشدد بالقول: «لقد قضى الرئيس ترمب على البرنامج النووي الإيراني. ويبدو أن وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية متجهة إلى تدمير مصداقيتها بهذه القصة الزائفة».
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced that the secret U.S. intelligence report that raised doubts about the effectiveness of the strikes carried out by the United States on 3 major nuclear sites in Iran is "low-confidence and incomplete," emphasizing that it does not even represent a part of the truth.
Vance said in a post on his account on "X": In short, a selectively leaked intelligence report, taken out of context, and low-confidence, and incomplete, was published in the media, explaining that the media published the findings without any real effort to determine whether they represent a part of the truth.
He pointed out that the way the media presented the report contradicts the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Iranians themselves, and the political and defense leadership of the administration. Most importantly, the media reports contradict common sense, adding: In short: 12 bunker-busting bombs, each weighing 30,000 pounds, were dropped on the main Iranian nuclear site, and the other two targeted sites suffered significant damage; no one argues that they hit their targets, no one argues about the explosive or destructive power of the weapons, and no one argues that a week ago, Iran could easily assemble a nuclear weapon, and now it cannot.
He noted that the entire discussion - even accepting the unfair media framing - is not about whether Iran is now capable of building a nuclear weapon; they cannot. Rather, it is about how much rebuilding the Iranians need to do to obtain a nuclear weapon. In other words, after a highly successful military operation with no American casualties, the American media is trying to blame Donald Trump for the existence of facilities that have not yet been built.
Vance mentioned that regardless of Iran's willingness to rebuild its program, as the president himself said, they now realize that rebuilding has severe consequences. They also realized that we can easily disrupt their progress, warning against journalists who promote false ideas from junior intelligence officials.
He emphasized by saying: "President Trump eliminated the Iranian nuclear program. It seems that the American media is headed towards destroying its credibility with this false story."
