An Iraqi security source confirmed that the "Ain al-Asad" airbase in western Iraq has entered a state of alert due to threats of being targeted. Four Arab countries announced this evening (Monday) the temporary closure of their airspace as a precautionary measure amid developments in the regional situation.

The Civil Aviation Affairs of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications stated that air traffic has been suspended in the skies of the Kingdom of Bahrain, indicating that the relevant authorities are monitoring developments around the clock in coordination with international partners.

It emphasized the necessity of following the instructions issued by official authorities to ensure safety, while the Bahraini Interior Ministry stated, "The alarm has been sounded... We urge citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place," adding, "In light of the recent developments in the regional security situation, we urge citizens and residents to use the main roads only when necessary, to ensure public safety and to allow the relevant authorities to use the roads."

Kuwait and Iraq also announced the temporary closure of their airspaces until further notice, while Qatar announced the temporary suspension of air traffic in its skies to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors, an hour before the Iranian aggression on the Al-Udeid American base.

On another note, the Iranian National Security Council announced its commitment to maintaining historical and close relations with Qatar, clarifying that the armed forces used the same number of bombs that the U.S. used in attacking Iranian nuclear facilities.

The council considered that the Al-Udeid American base is far from urban facilities and residential areas in Qatar, noting that bombing the American base does not pose any threat to its neighbor, Qatar.
