أكد الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين أن العدوان المستفز ضد إيران لا يستند إلى أي مبررات أو أعذار. وقال خلال لقاء وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي في موسكو، اليوم (الإثنين)، إن الزيارة ستتيح بحث كيفية الخروج من الوضع الراهن بالشرق الأوسط، بحسب ما نقلت وسائل إعلام روسية. فيما جدد عراقجي التأكيد على أن الهجمات الإسرائيلية تخالف القانون الدولي. وقال إن إيران تدافع عن سيادتها وأراضيها.
ووصف عراقجي العلاقات مع روسيا بأنها «جيدة»، و«نتشاور دائماً.. روسيا تساعدنا في بناء محطة بوشهر النووية».
وتحدثت وسائل إعلام غربية أن عراقجي نقل رسالة من المرشد الإيراني على خامنئي إلى بوتين، تطلب الدعم والمساعدة.
ونقلت وكالة «تاس» الروسية للأنباء عن عراقجي قوله إن إيران وروسيا تنسقان مواقفهما بشأن التصعيد الحالي في الشرق الأوسط. ونددت روسيا بشدة، أمس (الأحد)، بالضربات الأمريكية غير المسؤولة على مواقع نووية في إيران.
من جانبه، قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي، اليوم (الاثنين)، إن إيران تتوقع من روسيا أن تلعب دوراً فاعلاً في ظل الصراع بين طهران وواشنطن.
وقال: «لإيران، في إطار الشراكة الاستراتيجية الشاملة مع روسيا، توقعات محددة من هذا البلد، سواء على المستوى متعدد الأطراف، خصوصاً في مجلس الأمن الدولي، أو على المستوى الإقليمي. لذلك، تعتبر زيارة عراقجي واتصالاته مع المسؤولين الروس بالغة الأهمية».
وأعلنت الخارجية الروسية في بيان أن القرار غير المسؤول بشن ضربات بالصواريخ والقنابل على أراضي دولة ذات سيادة، أياً كانت الحجج المعروضة، هو انتهاك فاضح للقانون الدولي.
ونقلت وكالة «تاس» للأنباء عن الكرملين قوله، الأحد، إنه لا خطط لدى الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين للتحدث إلى نظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في أعقاب الاستهداف الأمريكي للمنشآت النووية الإيرانية. وأضافت أن الرئاسة الروسية أوضحت أنه يمكن ترتيب مكالمة سريعة.
وعقد مجلس الأمن الدولي اجتماعاً في وقت متأخر أمس (الأحد) لمناقشة الهجمات الأمريكية على المواقع النووية الإيرانية، في وقت اقترحت روسيا والصين وباكستان أن يعتمد المجلس قراراً يدعو إلى وقف فوري وغير مشروط لإطلاق النار في الشرق الأوسط.
ووجهت روسيا، الأربعاء الماضي، تحذيراً إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية من تقديم أية مساعدات عسكرية مباشرة لإسرائيل، مشددة على أن ذلك سيتسبب في زعزعة استقرار الشرق الأوسط.
وحذرت الخارجية الروسية بالقول: «نحذر أمريكا من تقديم مساعدات عسكرية مباشرة لإسرائيل أو حتى مجرد التفكير في الأمر».
President Vladimir Putin confirmed that the provocative aggression against Iran is not based on any justifications or excuses. He stated during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Moscow today (Monday) that the visit will allow for discussions on how to get out of the current situation in the Middle East, according to Russian media reports. Meanwhile, Araghchi reiterated that the Israeli attacks violate international law. He said that Iran defends its sovereignty and territory.
Araghchi described the relations with Russia as "good," and "we always consult... Russia helps us in building the Bushehr nuclear power plant."
Western media reported that Araghchi conveyed a message from Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to Putin, requesting support and assistance.
The Russian news agency "TASS" quoted Araghchi as saying that Iran and Russia are coordinating their positions regarding the current escalation in the Middle East. Russia strongly condemned, yesterday (Sunday), the irresponsible American strikes on nuclear sites in Iran.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei said today (Monday) that Iran expects Russia to play an active role amid the conflict between Tehran and Washington.
He stated: "For Iran, within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, there are specific expectations from this country, whether at the multilateral level, especially in the United Nations Security Council, or at the regional level. Therefore, Araghchi's visit and his communications with Russian officials are of utmost importance."
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement that the irresponsible decision to launch missile and bomb strikes on the territory of a sovereign state, regardless of the justifications presented, is a blatant violation of international law.
The "TASS" news agency reported that the Kremlin said on Sunday that President Vladimir Putin has no plans to speak with his American counterpart Donald Trump following the American targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities. It added that the Russian presidency clarified that a quick call could be arranged.
The United Nations Security Council held a meeting late yesterday (Sunday) to discuss the American attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, while Russia, China, and Pakistan suggested that the council adopt a resolution calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Middle East.
Last Wednesday, Russia warned the United States against providing any direct military assistance to Israel, stressing that this would destabilize the Middle East.
The Russian Foreign Ministry warned by saying: "We warn America against providing direct military assistance to Israel or even considering it."
