أفادت وسائل إعلام إيرانية بأن الأمن تمكن من إحباط هجوم مسلح في وسط إيران، بعد اعتقال خلية مرتبطة بجهاز «الموساد» الإسرائيلي. ووفقاً لوكالة أنباء «فارس»، تم القبض على هؤلاء المتهمين الذين كانوا قد دخلوا المدينة بسيارة، قبل أن يتمكنوا من تنفيذ أي عمل تخريبي.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام إيرانية أن قوات الأمن ألقت القبض على «خلية إرهابية» على صلة بإسرائيل أمس (الثلاثاء) وبحوزتها متفجرات في بلدة جنوب غربي العاصمة طهران.
وقالت وكالة تسنيم الإيرانية نقلاً عن مراد مرادي، القائم بأعمال حاكم بهارستان، أن الفريق العميل لـ«الموساد»، كان يخطط لتنفيذ هجوم انتحاري واسع النطاق في مناطق مكتظة بالسكان داخل المحافظة.
وأوضح مرادي أن الفريق الإرهابي تم رصده ومتابعته بدقة من قبل أجهزة الأمن، وكان قد دخل المدينة بواسطة شاحنة محملة بمواد متفجرة وتجهيزات متطورة، قبل أن يتم توقيفه في الوقت المناسب.
وأضاف: «أسفر التفتيش الأولي للسيارة عن اكتشاف كميات كبيرة من المتفجرات، وطائرات مسيّرة صغيرة مجهزة بأنظمة استهداف، وأسلحة حربية متطورة، ومعدات اتصال متقدمة، وأنظمة تحكم عن بعد».
وأكد رئيس البلدية أن «عملاء «الموساد» كانوا ينوون استخدام هذه المعدات لتنفيذ عمليات انتحارية واسعة النطاق في المراكز المزدحمة، بهدف بث الرعب والخوف وتقويض الأمن الداخلي للبلاد».
Iranian media reported that security forces managed to thwart an armed attack in central Iran after arresting a cell linked to the Israeli "Mossad." According to the Fars news agency, these suspects, who had entered the city in a car, were apprehended before they could carry out any sabotage.
Iranian media mentioned that security forces arrested a "terrorist cell" connected to Israel yesterday (Tuesday) while in possession of explosives in a town southwest of the capital Tehran.
Iran's Tasnim news agency quoted Morad Moradi, the acting governor of Baharestan, stating that the Mossad's agent team was planning to carry out a large-scale suicide attack in densely populated areas within the province.
Moradi explained that the terrorist team was closely monitored and tracked by security agencies and had entered the city with a truck loaded with explosive materials and advanced equipment before being stopped in a timely manner.
He added: "The initial search of the vehicle revealed large quantities of explosives, small drones equipped with targeting systems, advanced military weapons, advanced communication equipment, and remote control systems."
The mayor confirmed that "Mossad agents intended to use this equipment to carry out large-scale suicide operations in crowded centers, aiming to instill terror and fear and undermine the country's internal security."
