The Cybersecurity Command in Iran has prohibited officials and their protection teams from using all devices connected to communication networks and public communications. This measure, which was likely issued to enhance cybersecurity and protect sensitive information of officials, was reported by the Iranian news agency "Mehr" today (Tuesday).

The decision came in the wake of the assassination of several Iranian military leaders and scientists since Friday, when Israel launched an attack on Iran.

The Israeli ambassador to the United States, Yair Lapid, revealed in a striking statement carrying coded messages the intention of Tel Aviv to carry out a "major operation" against Iran next Friday.

In an interview with American journalist Lindsay Keith, Lapid said: "Expect a surprise later this week," without disclosing the nature of the operation, its exact timing, or the targeted entity.

He added: "When things calm down, you will see surprises on Thursday and Friday night that will make the operation against the pager devices seem simple," referring to the assassination of Hezbollah leaders.

In September, the operation targeted the paging and wireless devices used by Hezbollah members.

The Iranian news agency "Fars" reported that Israel is using mobile phone tracking technologies to locate and assassinate Iranian officials.

According to a report published by the "Fars" news agency, Israel employs mobile phone tracking technologies, even when they are turned off, to carry out assassination operations within Iranian territory.

It was noted that this method was used by Israel in the assassination of the former political bureau chief of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran. According to the agency: "Even turning off mobile phones at meeting places or during operational deployment does not guarantee the confidentiality of the location."

According to the report, this method aims to accurately locate senior Iranian officials, even when their phones are turned off. The report mentioned that Iranian media recommends using secure and anti-tracking phones to reduce the risk of exposure.

For its part, the Fars news agency reported that the Iranian "Sepah" Bank was subjected to a cyber attack that disrupted the bank's electronic services, noting that efforts were underway to resolve the issue within a few hours. The "Iran International" website revealed that the hacking group "Predatory Bird" claimed responsibility for the cyber attack on the bank. The group stated: "We have destroyed all data of Sepah Bank in a cyber operation."
