For the fifth consecutive day (Tuesday), Israel and Iran exchanged missile fire and threats, raising fears of an escalation of the war, especially after U.S. President Donald Trump called for the "immediate evacuation of Tehran," amid mass evacuations from Israel and Iran.

Despite regional and international calls to cease hostilities, neither side shows any signs of easing the military confrontation. The evacuations of Western capitals for their citizens indicate further escalation, which includes reciprocal missile strikes and an increase in civilian casualties.

China urged its citizens through its embassy to leave Israel as soon as possible, while the United States announced that it is deploying "additional resources" in the Middle East to bolster its "defensive posture," according to Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth.

The aircraft carrier "Nimitz," which was sailing in the South China Sea, changed course on Monday to head to the Middle East.

U.S. President Donald Trump, who decided to leave the G7 summit early on Tuesday morning due to the events in the Middle East, called for everyone to evacuate Tehran immediately.

In a post on his platform "Truth Social," he said: Iran should have signed the agreement when it was asked to sign. What a loss and waste of human lives. Simply put, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. The Revolutionary Guard announced the launch of the ninth wave of combined attacks using drones and missiles, which will continue uninterrupted until dawn.

Sirens sounded twice early Tuesday in several areas in Israel, particularly in the north, after the military announced it had detected missiles launched from Iran toward Israeli territory, but in both instances, residents were informed shortly afterward that they could leave the shelters.

According to the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Iranian attacks on Israel resulted in the deaths of at least 24 people. Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of at least 224 people and injuries to more than a thousand others in Iran, according to official figures.

Elsewhere, Russia evacuated citizens from Iran. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova reported via Telegram that a group of 86 people was evacuated to Azerbaijan on Saturday. A border crossing was organized on Sunday for 238 other Russians, including families of diplomats.
