إسرائيل: مقتل 9 علماء نوويين إيرانيين

The Israeli army announced the killing of 9 nuclear scientists in the attack on Iran yesterday (Friday).

It stated in a statement today (Saturday) that all the scientists and experts who were eliminated constituted key knowledge centers in Iran's nuclear project and had accumulated expertise spanning decades in the fields of nuclear weapon development.

It added that among the senior scientists who were eliminated in the Iranian nuclear program were: Fereydoun Abbasi, an expert in nuclear engineering; Mohammad Mehdi Taheranchi, an expert in physics; Akbar Motlazadeh, an expert in chemical engineering; Saeed Barji, an expert in materials engineering; Amir Hassan Faghihi, an expert in physics; Abdolhamid Minushahr, an expert in reactor physics; Mansour Askari, an expert in physics; and Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Daryani, an expert in nuclear engineering.

The semi-official Iranian agency "Tasnim" reported on Saturday that 3 Iranian nuclear scientists were killed in Israeli attacks: Ali Baghaei Karimi, Mansour Askari, and Saeed Barji.

The initial Israeli strikes on Friday resulted in the deaths of senior Iranian military leaders, including the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hossein Salami, and the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Amir Ali Hajizadeh, along with 9 scientists from the Iranian nuclear program.

The official Iranian television announced on Saturday the deaths of two senior army officers, Major General Gholam Reza Moharabi and Major General Mehdi Rabbani.

In light of the military escalation in the Middle East, many airlines have canceled or rerouted dozens of flights, and oil prices have risen.
