جددت وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا)، تأكيد أن المساعدات التي دخلت قطاع غزة خلال الأسبوعين الماضيين، غير كافية على الإطلاق.
وأعلن المستشار الإعلامي للوكالة عدنان أبو حسنة، اليوم (الأحد)، أن المساعدات الإنسانية التي وصلت خلال الأيام الأخيرة لا تلبي سوى 9% من حاجات السكان الأساسية، بحسب ما نقلت عنه وكالة «وفا» للأنباء.
ولفت إلى أن السلال الغذائية التي تم توزيعها على السكان لا تغطي إلا جزءاً بسيطاً من حاجات أكثر من مليوني شخص في القطاع.
وأفاد بأنه خلال الأيام الـ17 الماضية، دخل القطاع 800 شاحنة مساعدات فقط، وهو ما يغطي 9% فقط من الحاجات الأساسية للسكان، في ظل تفاقم معدلات الجوع وسوء التغذية، وانهيار النظام الصحي، وتلوث واسع في مصادر المياه. واتهم إسرائيل بمواصلة تفكيك البنية التحتية التابعة للأونروا في غزة.
وتقدر الأمم المتحدة حاجات القطاع المدمر بشكل يومي بنحو 400 شاحنة.
يذكر أن الجيش الإسرائيلي استأنف عملياته القتالية في 18 مارس، وشن ضربات مكثفة على القطاع، منهياً وقف إطلاق النار الذي تم التوصل إليه في شهر يناير الماضي.
فيما أعلنت إسرائيل في 18 مايو الماضي بدء العمليات العسكرية في المنطقتين الشمالية والجنوبية من القطاع، ضمن عملية برية واسعة النطاق أطلقت عليها تسمية «عربات جدعون»، وهدفها المعلن هزيمة نهائية لحركة «حماس» وإطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن الإسرائيليين المحتجزين في القطاع.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has renewed its confirmation that the aid that entered the Gaza Strip over the past two weeks is not sufficient at all.
The agency's media advisor, Adnan Abu Hasna, announced today (Sunday) that the humanitarian aid that arrived in recent days meets only 9% of the basic needs of the population, according to what the "Wafa" news agency reported.
He pointed out that the food baskets distributed to the population cover only a small part of the needs of more than two million people in the sector.
He stated that over the past 17 days, only 800 aid trucks have entered the sector, which covers only 9% of the basic needs of the population, amid worsening rates of hunger and malnutrition, the collapse of the health system, and widespread pollution of water sources. He accused Israel of continuing to dismantle UNRWA's infrastructure in Gaza.
The United Nations estimates the daily needs of the devastated sector at about 400 trucks.
It is worth noting that the Israeli army resumed its combat operations on March 18, launching intensive strikes on the sector, thereby ending the ceasefire that was reached last January.
Meanwhile, Israel announced on May 18 the start of military operations in the northern and southern regions of the sector, as part of a large-scale ground operation dubbed "Gideon's Chariots," with the declared aim of achieving a final defeat of the "Hamas" movement and securing the release of all Israeli hostages held in the sector.
