Iran has received a written American proposal regarding reaching an agreement on the nuclear program, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who stated that his country would respond to the proposal "in line with national principles, interests, and the rights of the Iranian people." White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt confirmed that U.S. envoy Steve Wietkoff presented Tehran with a "detailed and acceptable proposal."

According to the American website "Axios," the written proposal sought to resolve the uranium enrichment dilemma, considering it the main issue that faced the past five rounds of indirect talks between Iran and the United States.

U.S. officials revealed that the new proposal represents an attempt to address Tehran's demand to continue enriching uranium on its territory.

An American official disclosed that Oman proposed a plan adopted by the United States calling for the establishment of a regional union for uranium enrichment for civilian nuclear purposes, under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United States. He indicated that Washington wants the headquarters of this union to be outside Iran.

The responsible source clarified that among other ideas is for the United States to recognize Iran's right to enrich uranium, provided that Iranian authorities suspend enrichment entirely. According to the source, the updated proposal came as a result of the fifth round of negotiations held between the two sides in Rome last week, during which the Iranians requested to receive the American proposal in writing after Wietkoff presented an oral proposal during the fourth round of talks and explained it in detail during the fifth round. Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi delivered the written text to Araghchi during his visit to Tehran on Saturday.

American officials previously stated that they aim first for a preliminary agreement, which would later be followed by technical teams from both sides drafting a detailed and final agreement.

The "New York Times" reported that informed officials indicated that the American document presented to Iran consists of a series of bullet points, rather than a complete draft agreement. The document calls for Iran to halt all uranium enrichment activities and suggests the establishment of a regional alliance for nuclear energy production.

Araghchi held phone talks with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi regarding the latest developments related to the nuclear negotiations and the lifting of sanctions, warning that his country would respond if European countries exploited an IAEA report accusing Tehran of accelerating the pace of high-enriched uranium production for political purposes.

Araghchi stated: "Iran will respond appropriately to any inappropriate move by the European parties," calling on the agency not to give some parties the opportunity to misuse the report to achieve their political goals against Iran, according to the Iranian official news agency "IRNA."
